Poland -v- England (WC22 Qualifier)

Post by prophet:marginal »

Win tomorrow and we've practically guaranteed top spot in our group. We'd only fail to secure top spot if Albania beat us and very handsomely won their 2 other games, after a certain 3 points vs San Marino tomorrow.

This is going to sound arrogant, but I don't really recognise the Polish midfielders who might be pitted against Rice in this match, if, as expected, he picks up his 26th cap.

Denmark, interestingly, are the first team to qualify from Europe for Q22; their record is incredible - 6 straight wins, NO GOALS CONCEDED, 22 goals scored

1 in, 12 to go...

Steer clear of any aggro Declan. We need you running the show at St Mary’s.

Sweepstake - when does the Southgate bashing start?

I'll go for the 11th minute.

Lovely reading of the game from Declan, saw the danger and snuffed it out.

It really irritates me that Kane drops so deep, and drifts wide, he plays everywhere apart from upfront.

No need for it whatsoever.

We are a better team without him.

Calvert Lewin would provide a better option than Kane, he has some pace as well.

Great performance so far from Rice and Mount.

Grealish to me is an old-fashioned footballer. Seems almost scrawny in comparison with the rest of them out there.

Some great one touch stuff from us. Enjoyable game.

I'd like to see how Grealish would have fared against old fashioned defenders. Mackay, Harris or Bremner for instance :crossed:

Kane hasn't had the best of starts so far. Would be a great opportunity for Bellingham if it stays like this.

Billy Bonds would have ruined him. Can't even think about what Julian would have made of him.

Proper old school away game this, dodgy ref in Eastern Europe. Sorts the show ponies from the quality.
