Rice cakes - 26 calories (and for me at least) remove that craving. You can throw some fruit on them or some decent (not sugar laden) Peanut Butter for a decent snack.

I've lost almost 13kg in the last 6 months with the majority of that being January onwards. It is not all the booze, returning to work and rejoining the gym have a massive impact but for me the willingness to eat 'better' and exercise comes from a clear head.

Made it to 50 days yesterday, which became an arbitrary goal about two weeks ago.

Will be enjoying a few beers with my dad today, a couple more days off and then five days all inc in Majorca - where it would be rude not to!

Was going to lay off the weekday booze for a few months (holidays exempt of course)

3 hours to get home from Battersea tonight (GFY TFL) has put paid to that.

125 not out as of 10pm tonight. Rocking along into May.

Watching the counter slowly increase is quite addictive.

20kgs lighter, waist 5inches or so less. It’s not just the alcohol, I’ve made a lot of changes. But yes I do feel good for it.

Cheers. Haven't been back to work yet. I spend half my day selling wine so that'll be the biggest test.

5 days in with 95 days to go

Dont know if the original question was answered but it's useful to compare alcohol quantity in units.

A litre (1000ml) of 1% (by volume) drink is 1 unit, so can adjust volume and strength accordingly:

A bottle of wine is 0.75 litre x 13.5% =~ 10 units.
A bottle of spirit is 0.7 litre x 40% = 28 units.
A large bottle of premium lager is 0.66 litre x 5% = 3.3 units

On these numbers, wine is by far the most dangerous thing for me to drink.

Chapeau to all you who have cut down or quit long term.
