someone brighter than me said that how can Kane be captain and instill a belief in his teammates when he clearly doesnt even want to be there
compare that with our club captain and the team captain

Because they’ll be scared of upsetting him if they demote him. The bigger issue (IMO) is the fact he’s still England captain, when it should obviously be Rice.psychoscoredthelot wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 2:11 pm someone brighter than me said that how can Kane be captain and instill a belief in his teammates when he clearly doesnt even want to be there

My highlight from the ov..
"Season after season teams get taunted with memes and pics of Big Sam when they are struggling. I'd ****ing take him right now. He would at least slap the attitude out of half these c****. And just as he was walking out the door he would probably tell Levy he's a bald uncle festa looking **** as well. All in all that's a win!"

Us waiting for the boss to pony up the OV must be what Spurs fans felt like yesterday waiting for their team to get a shot on goal.

kane will mope around looking forward to the next england game where he can surround himself with half decent players and tap a few past some eastern europeans on a day rate then come out after the match an mumble something incoherent about which national team record he's being carried towards like a gout ridden king in a sedan chair.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur: match thread
"I can't help but feel West Ham sat off us because they didn't have the energy to really press, after quite a few of their players played in the Europa in midweek. Add to that, Moyes must have felt that all Nuno's team offer in an attacking sense is to get in behind on the break. So they took it easy and allowed us possession and we didn't do a lot with it. At the other end, I think West Ham believed they could get a chance to win it with a cross, either from open play or a set-piece. Every time they crossed it, they looked threatening. We look like a mid-table team with a mid-table coach."

Among all the ***** they spouted, there was a fair assessment in there with the above. The least surprising thing to see? Someone mention Rice and claim Skipp was the standout in the same sentence. Muppet.

Likely i'll sell on most of my tickets this season and that will be it. Cheers Levy."
- For better or worse
How ironic. For better or worse is cashing in his tickets as it’s so bad. So just ‘for better’ then

I’m sure if we are honest, that was our worst performance of the season. We were fortunate spurs were just as bad. It was probably a 0-0 game in all fairness which we have nicked with a set piece, I’ll take that all day long!
Fornals and Benrahma were extremely poor (must of given the ball away every time they got it), with Antonio only slightly better. Bowen is the only one out of the front 4 to come out with any credit imo. The lack of open play goals is slightly worrying, although I hope it’s just a blip.
The back 4 and keeper (+ Declan, obviously) were Absolutly superb, with Zouma being my motm.
Saying that, to have played that poorly and be sitting in 4th position is amazing, just imagine where we can end up when we find our shooting boots again!

My favourite part is how they all seem to have begrudingly accepted the new order of us beating them regularly without too much effort.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur: match thread
my favourite one
"62% of possession. 629 of passes compared to 364 (nearly double). Probably the best chance with Kane’s free header. I’m surprised their fans are even bothering to celebrate such a hollow win. Reckon the Prem will give us the points off West Ham retrospectively after seeing these damning statistics? Quite frankly I am embarrassed for West Ham."
