Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
The end of the season is 28 games away.
I'd say that 3 teams are definitely better than us, even if one, Man City, are listing early, albeit slightly, with 2 defeats and limited 'striker' options.
Man United and, for my money, Arsenal look like the only other teams with real potential to crowd us out to 5th or 6th.
There definitely are not 6 better teams than this lot. These guys are special.

Man Utd or Arsenal most likely.
It's a long, long season and we need to be very fortunate with injuries and form to stay where we are whilst competing on 4 fronts.

If Spurs ditch Nuno (as reported possible tonight) and find someone to motivate them, then sadly a firing Son+Kane could challenge.
Let’s hope they keep hold of him.

I’m not too fussed. I’ll take top six and the winning Europa League at this stage

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
Their side is poor. They’re not a team, Kane has downed tools.
Man United is the obvious answer. Especially if Ole goes.

10 games played but yet to play any of the top 3. That being said 4th is on for real and I think is more likely than last season taking into account the decline of Man U and Leicester plus Kane going AWOL.
It's on big time proph

Kane is off in January mate...1 goal and 1 assist in 8 games tells you all you need to know about Kanes true intentions

If we beat Liverpool next week, the question should be
"Who will beat us to the title..."

"Who will beat us to the title..."

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
Kane's star is on the wane.
It would be idiotic for Man U to buy him. Chelsea and Liverpool don't need him.
Do Spurs seriously sell him to Man City?
He's got an international class first touch. And no pace.
Son's their sole dangerman these days. Amazingly, Arsenal look way more likely.

Arsenal will fade, their side is pony. Spurs will get a new manager bounce but Kane has checked out, he’s even pissing me off with how muggy he’s being.
Man United could sack Ole tomorrow and, with the right manager, could be back in the title race. Their squad is title worthy.

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
I think it's a bit early to say still but both Moyes and Declan have suggested that they see it as a goal.
If we are still in and around the places at halfway, then any serious owners would do everything they could to make the 2 or 3 key signings that would give us a real chance of pushing on for it.

I think Arsenal are better than people give them credit for. Arteta has got their youngsters doing well, and the keeper looks solid. Don't be misled by their losing their opening 3 games, they're unbeaten in 10 in all comps now.

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
Their CB's would fold Europa group stages. I expected more off Varane, but, even with him signed, they look second rate. Maguire, like Soyuncu at Leicester, makes the odd excellent challenge, but is seriously out of his depth on the real basics, such as pace and technique.Billydinho wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 8:22 pm

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
For me, it is too early to tell... however, purely on current form, I'd say Liverpool, Chelsea and probably Citeh.
But .... Whilst we are on fire at the moment, we are competing on a number of fronts, and my fear is that it will catch up with us at some stage... we were a bit wobbly at times today, and what if that happens again and leads to a loss of confidence and form? I suspect Man U's squad will click and overhaul us, and if Arteta can continue as he has done, then Larse may do the same.
A bit of a bleak outlook but I am going back to work tomorrow after 10 days off on holiday!!

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
We can still improve and Moyes will strive to ensure we do. Even as things stand teams are having to raise their game to even take a point off us
Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?
Crikey, lets not get carried away. We are West Ham after all.
However, having seen all our games I still think we are in 3rd gear. There is loads more potential and yet we have a very small squad still fighting on 4 fronts. If we can make it through to January still in the top 6-7 and Europa, League and FA Cup then its down to the owners to properly invest to ensure we capitalise on our position and make this season better than last. That's the measure. Silverware would be the icing on the cake, but continual progress is within our grasp.
Next week v Liverpool is a big, big test to see how far we have come.
