Which is why I think he will be in high demand.
Didn't exactly work for Felipe Anderson.

I’d still chuck most of our January budget on a defender if one is available that Moyes sees as an immediate upgrade with years ahead of them. I’m also coming to the view that they need to be a leader/organiser type.

100%.
Forget everything and buy a calm, composed centre half. Desperate for a tp quality CH now Ogbonna looks to be going down the other side of the mountain.

How much longer is Diop gonna live off that single incident where Jose called him a monster? He peaked three years ago.

We make, and score, plenty of chances. We just can't keep the bloody ball out of our own net, unless we're playing Norwich, the only team more impotent than a 99 year old man on anti depressants.

Diop and Dawson are both solid next to a good partner. Trouble is, they're both not solid when paired with each other. I don't think they compliment each other, Diop wants to play higher up the pitch which is fine with a Zouma or Ogbonna anticipating the next ball but useless when you've got Clogger Craig wanting to sit as deep as possible so they have six months to read a pass. Equally Dawson wants to stay deep which is fine when you have someone like Zouma or Ogbonna knowing when to step up to make a challenge but useless when you've got Indecisive Issa being unsure of when to leave the deep line.

They just cannot play together, because they're polar opposites.

One thing I would say about Lingard.. I can’t see any reason why Man United would want to actively strengthen the team currently sitting in 4th when they will be desperate to get in the top 4 themselves. Even if Lingard came in and had half the impact he had for us last year, we’d be in with a good chance of finishing above them.

I realise he’s out of contract in the summer so they’ll lose him in a free but what are we realistically going to pay? £10m? That’s nothing compared to champions league money.

Surprised we've not made an enquiry about the two lads up top for Union SG in the Belgian league.

Deniz Undav looks like a unit who can spot a pass but the real potential star there is Dante Vanzeir, got his first Belgian cap recently, rapid and good technique. Would be an alternative to play alongside Antonio and we wouldn't need to move Bowen from the right to go up front. Still a bit raw but has all the ingredients.

Brighton owner also owns that club so I wouldn't be surprised to see one (or both) come across to them in the Summer, but a bid for either would be worth it imo.

I'd love to see a solid, old fashioned defensive centre half with with Rice and Soucek either side. Firm up the midfield and allow either of them to get forward without compromising the defense.

Liam wrote: Tue Jan 18, 2022 10:58 am Just seen someone on twitter post that this is Moyes 6th transfer window for us and he has signed just one striker, who went on to play 22 mins of football for us....

I'm not beating Moyes up about this and i know that Lingard and Bowen both can play up front, but surely over those 6 windows there has been someone that could have helped the squad out.
With all the money in the world and a dozen transfer windows, Pep Guardiola has signed one striker, and he doesn’t even play him as an out and out striker half of the time.

If there is a deal to be done for Hlozek this month then wtf aren’t we getting in done. He’s on of the most highly rated teenage strikers in Europe, linked with Liverpool, Bayern, Barcelona etc. He’s reportedly close with Soucek and if not yet an upgrade on Antonio, he’s definitely competition, and he can play on the wing or as a #10.
