I'm hearing that they're already announcing that the next bloke in is 'interim' until the end of the season.
Carrick about to help UNITED finish top 4

Conclusive proof that Manchester is not the epicentre of comedy. While most of the western world laughs in these dark, tough times, they pull the plug

That, to me, is a crazy idea which will leave them, with that ridiculous wage bill, only 50-50 chance to be competing in Europe next season.

Bloody bonkers unless it's a big name who potentially will stay on for longer

Zidane might only fancy a short term gig...he's never been one to fancy English football which may explain a short term deal

Ronaldo, Varane.. its makes sense. He might be able to get the best out if Pogba too

A shame...Ole until Xmas would have been nice

I doubt many agree, but I am not convinced that Zidane is in fact much of a coach. Sure, he did the 'legend returns' thing (twice!) but I am not so sure whether his abilities would translate so easily to a team in a different league.

They actually made him do an exit interview.

I do agree

But with the right coaches around him he'll probably do well. Respected and I'd imagine scary as f*** at times. Plus he'll already have Ronaldo and Varane as certain supporters in the dressing room

They might have to get rid of the contingent of former players making up the backroom staff...that can't help

I can't press play on that. It's like strangling a puppy you bought for your disabled child on Christmas Day.

What has he actually done to deserve that?

Carrick was one of the few not to jump off our sinking ship, he was a class player in multiple positions and seems an unassuming bloke learning his trade.

I'd want him to do well, so hopefully they'll get someone in soon rather than giving him a proper go.

I say bring in Fernando Santos. Who doesn't like to see Ronaldo cry.

No one has mentioned the Doomsday scenario, that Moyes is tempted back - he’s doing well at West Ham second time around, therefore he’s bound to do well at Man U second time round. The sort of twisted logic that sometimes rocks up.

If that did happen it would be sodding typical West Ham.

(Don’t think it will tho’)

One or two non winning results fans will be on his back. I spoke to a man utd pillock a couple of weeks ago who wouldn't swap OGS for Moyes. Maintained Moyes is crap.

Highly unlikely to attract a truly world class manager with their current squad set up.
Ronaldo may have scored some great goals, but his presence has destroyed any kind of team spirit that may have previously existed in the last two seasons.
Manchester united may not openly admit it, but Ronaldo is the main reason for there indifferent form this season.
It will take a brave manager to come in and sort out that dressing room
