Plenty of people are asking the same question and thats off the back of not having seen matches stopped due to medical interventions to players and/or fans as regularly as we've seen this season and that is fact.

But if we want to simply throw the word Conspiracy in than that's rather lazy..
People have been having heart attacks at football ever since there was football. The change is that there are now defibrillators and better techniques available and the people with access and training are involved in the games. To get that expertise to someone usually involves stopping the game.

Very true. Defibrillators have been around for a fair few years now and most medical crews at sporting events have them as essential equipment.

So how many games were halted for players and/or fans collapsing in let's just say the 2 or 3 seasons prior to this ?

Comment from an acquaintance on FB that was once St Johns ambulance at league football matches:

"They ain't anything new mate, you just hear about them now. They used to happen all the time and the game just carried on".

I suspect he's right.

Interesting...
My good mates brother volunteers in a medical team that attends all home games at our local professional team and he stated to me that defibrillators have been carried for many years now but he has yet to use theirs and nor has he heard of so many platers and fans collapsing as he has this season.

Just by way of an update; mate of mine is a Watford STH and he got an update from the club, I won't post the whole message but the person involved, Larry Brooks, is recovering well in hospital and is in good spirits, thanks to all those involved, etc. Will be in hospital for ongoing treatment for the underlying issue, but he and his family have been offered hospitality at a future fixture.

I can only hope for his sake that their relegation concerns are resolved by then for a stress free experience!

I think a draw in Man Utd vs Arsenal would be best for us.

I think so. Failing that, a Manchester United win.

The first half of Spurs and Brentford was atrocious. Hopefully this one is a bit more watchable.

Unfortuneately Spurs will be right on our tail with a game in hand if they win tonight, and they are winning

Arsenal at least being consistent with their unsportsmanlike play and sticking the ball in the net with the keeper injured on the floor.

That’s for the referee to blow the whistle. The right decision imo.
