Genuinely, at first look I thought this was the 'Great Rape' thread. Too vain to wear my specs, it'll get me in trouble one day.

Anyway.....my Spanish is pony and I've no idea what this is about so it might actually be rubbish, but I just really like the bounce of La Capitana's voice when she gets going. I think Spanish rap often has an effortless musicality that's difficult to do in English with all it's weird consonant noises.




And this totally knocked me sideways when it came out, almost exactly 30 years ago. 30 years, christ. A real marker in time, that step change from old skool to a darker and more oblique flow, I really don't know why this album doesn't get far more recognition, it's ****ing genius imho.

I know the young people are too busy watching TikTok to be enthralled by telly but the sentiment and righteous concern remain the same. And the delivery has amazing authority. It has Gil Scott Heron lyricism and Chuck D anger. Love it!

Also, the Busta Rhymes mentions - his rapping blows my mind once in a while. Best guest rap ever here...
