Awful story and video doing the rounds today about a Russian POW being executed by Wagner Group paramilitaries after they got him back from the Ukranians. Won't describe or link it as it's very graphic but it's been verified as legit by a Ukranian journalist who met the guy while he was captive/prior to be handed back.
This quote is from the founder of Wagner. Shows the sort of people Putin has sent in there on this "denazification" mission. Reminder - this guy's crime was being captured in a battle.
“I prefer to watch history in the theatre. As for the sledgehammer, in this show it is clear that he did not find happiness in Ukraine, but met with unkind, but fair people. It seems to me that this film is called "To the dog - dog's death". Excellent directorial work, looks at one go. I hope no animals were harmed during filming."
Am I overthinking things by wondering if Russia 'withdrawing' from Kherson is a ploy? Waiting until it's full of happy Ukranian troops lapping up the flowers and hugs, then pounding it with what remains of their ammo in a final two fingers to the world?

Was about to say we should expect some formal statement sharpish. Will be interesting to see what they go with.
What missile was it? I didn't think Russia had advanced that far West, even looking at the latest map it doesn't look like they are anywhere near.
They've been hitting targets in Ukraine very close to the border with Poland for a while. In part to put off the transfer of arms. Someone has seriously screwed up this time though. Fully.expect Russia to say Ukraine did it!
Incompetence or Putin sabre rattling? I wouldn't be surprised if the psychotic maniac has chosen the latter not caring about the consequences for the planet.
If they were Russian missiles then the experts seem to think this is more likely an article 4 issue than an article 5. Could see a serious increase in the kit being sent to Ukraine and even some kind of retaliation if they can identify the launch sites. Just have to wait and see and hope cooler heads are in charge.

He must know he couldn't take on NATO, unless he goes 'top of the world, Ma'.
Russia saying the reports are deliberate provocation aimed at escalating the situation. All speculation for now I guess.
The Poles have been kept on a very short leash since this all kicked off. They're desperate to get stuck in. I doubt this will lead to invoking article 5 but would think a lot more air defence is moved up to the border. There may even be some direct Polish action outside of NATO operations.
