Post by Burnley Hammer »

Premier League
Wednesday 15th December
20:00 KO

Thought I'd start this - I believe we did pretty good on the only one I've started before.

We'll win.

I wouldn't drop Antonio for this.

Got a feeling he will run riot.

We should really be beating this lot based on the comparative massiveness of both teams, but we always seem to come unstuck against them.

I'm finding it hard to call.

One thing is for certain though, they wont be looking forward to it.

Dislike this mob intensely, more so than even Tottenham and Chelsea. Mainly because I couldn't stand Arseole Wenger. Also I unfortunately know too many of their supercilious supporters. Never seem to play them when we are at full strength. Hoping for a win but please West Ham, don't lose.

What’s David Moyes record against this mob as a Premier League manager at Highbury and the Emirates? I suspect it’s pretty grim.

Don't think David Moyes record against Arsenal matters much, considering our record against Arsenal anyway.

Can't see us keeping another clean sheet, so we better have our scoring boots on.

Think the extra day they have to recover/prepare could prove crucial.

Norwich will have that extra day on Saturday as well.

Benramha has 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 14 League games. The goal took a wicked deflection.

Antonio has 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 10 League games.

If Moyes doesn’t drop at least 1 of them, let alone both against this lot, I don’t want to hear any complaining from him when we lose.

For some reason, I have been looking at this season as a success - and an improvement on the last - if we lose 8 or fewer games. We have already lost 4 in this first half of the season.

I would be happy for us to draw this match, personally, because my true worry is that this is another defeat that will be handed to us. Main reason for this is that there seems to be a sense of lethargy in the team and we are of course playing a reserve CB partnership.

Arsenal are a youthful team, full of running.

As I say, a point will do me fine.

Don't think previous matters this season. We've been tearing up records all along. Saying that, I'd take a draw!

I'm convinced we're going to lose this game. Same as I was convinced we would lose against Liverpool and Chelsea.

We've only won one of the last twelve games & two of the last 28. In 2006/07 we had a purple patch of 3 wins in a row then it was another twenty games with just a single win.

A draw would be a lovely result. Can't see it happening though.

Is Cresswell finally going to be fit for this one? Or does he still need his Mum to kiss his bubu better after bumping into that nasty goal post 2 weeks ago?

This really will tell us where we are in the race for 4th. There’s a lot of ‘know your place’ talk coming from these, spurs and Man U fans nowadays. We need to turn up and if we play as well as we can I’m confident we can beat these. 5-0 Arsenal

Massive game this. Antonio has been poor but this is the sort of game you want him starting in as they will look to dominate the ball whilst we try to catch them on the break.
