Well Spurs freed up their midweeks and Arsenal didn't have to worry about that.
Indeed, but of course both Arsenal and Spurs have at least two games we don't in the Carabao cup semi finals plus a possible final, and Spurs have two games in hand on us now that need to be played later, plus our missed game will be completed next week meaning they'll be three behind. That's a possible 6 games more than us Spurs will have in all comps if they reach the league cup final.

We'd need to get to the EL final to end up with more games to play than them, something I'm sure we'd all welcome.

That same young and healthy 25 year old would have a milder case if they were fully vaccinated than if they weren't.
Milder than what? The young and healthy 25 year old isn’t 84. It’s already mild.

Surely there is a thread on NUMB about jabs where people can post their incorrect opinions? I know we’re talking about players ages here but wtf has this should/shouldn’t get vaxxed debate have to do with suspending the season or not?

Because they think they can put a team out and win against Shrewsbury.

Tell Joshua Kimmich that.

And that's before we consider that a vacinnated body boots the virus out quicker, reducing infectious time, and reduces the chance of the virus mutating as it's destroyed more quickly.

He obviously wasn’t as young and healthy as he thought, and [as mentioned above] you will always be able to find one exception to any viewpoint (assuming he even qualified as young and healthy - which he clearly didn’t).

Infectious time and everything else you have listed is completely irrelevant in a discussion about a harmless cold (which it is in a young, healthy person). I [personally] don’t care if I have a cough for 3 days vs 5 days if I still have to isolate for 10 anyway.

It's not a harmless cold in all young people. And that's before we mention the problems of Long-Covid.

In fact we've had more COVID related child hospitalisations in the last 24 hours than ever before.

It’s a harmless cold in all young, healthy people, which is what was being discussed. :newthumb:

A five day cough does not make one an unhealthy person.

Nope. COVID is only an issue for them in games they will have to try harder to win.

Why did the BBC wipe the game off their fixture page? Any other game has postponed underneath!

Not one mention of it on the their football news page either!

What a coincidence that one of Southampton's rearranged games is vs Newcastle.

Moyes has agreed with this in an interview.

For what it's worth I agree too, though saying that on twitter has resulted in literally hundreds of very angry and paranoid Geordies tweeting me.

You'll be fine unless you are Mr Ed in real life.
