Re: FA Cup Third Round.
Swindon have made this entertaining and have had a go, even trying to play out from the back. Chuffed they scored.
Not sure who the commentator is but he called Man City the "best team in the world" which raised a smile.

Re: FA Cup Third Round.
Swindon was my first ever away match with City back in the late 90’s. Won 2-0. Blackpool my first home match.
Anything since then has been a bonus as far as I’m concerned.

Re: FA Cup Third Round.
Swindon was my first away match aswell, a 3-1 win back in 1993 in our promotion season. Glenn Hoddle was their manager.
Cancel that, it was my second away match. First one was the month before; a 2-1 win at Brum when we were 1 down until the last few minutes.

Re: FA Cup Third Round.
I’m assuming ours was Joe Royle. I was living in Hereford at the time so that’s probably right.
We got promotion from the Championship that season so I think I’m right. The younger lads these days don’t know what they’ve missed…

Snap - Swindon May 93 was my second ever away match with the first being a 2-1 win at Watford a few months before. I still rate that game at the county ground as the most enjoyable game I’ve ever been to. Shows how little success we’ve had in my 44 years!WestHamLyallStyle wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 10:33 pmSwindon was my first away match aswell, a 3-1 win back in 1993 in our promotion season. Btw - I remember there being people in fancy dress at that Swindon game with one chap in a full Friar Tuck style monk outfit. Wondering if that was anyone that posts on here?!?

The whole match is available on YouTube including a preview from Mark Lawrenson. I keep meaning to watch it one of these days.Marquis wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 12:00 amSnap - Swindon May 93 was my second ever away match with the first being a 2-1 win at Watford a few months before. Re: FA Cup Third Round.
I was at the away FA cup game when Macari was in charge. It must have been forgettable as I remember nothing of the game, only that we got in the West Ham end with Swindon tickets we had.
I think Macari didn't show up at Swindon and was never seen again.
Edit 1989 and 0 - 0

Re: FA Cup Third Round.
Feels like I have the thread to myself at the moment. Later I shall be at Yeovil for their 17.45 tie v Bournemouth as its a 5 minute walk. Home end terrace sold out, I do enjoy the old fashioned terraces and hope for a good atmosphere. Great to see non league clubs getting 7000 plus gates. This is where the magic of the cup is, not the later rounds.

Re: FA Cup Third Round.
Ojo looks quite interesting. Might be worth keeping an eye.
Palace don't look all that and it's a strong side they have out. 8 players who played against us, plus Gallagher and Eze who are back from injury/illness.
Only really the goalkeeper who isn't a regular first teamer.

Bermondsey currently beating Croydon in the battle of the south London shitholes courtesy of Palace's keeper gifting Millwall a tap in.

I've been trying to log in for half an hour now but kept getting that submitted form error message.
Decent match this, being spoiled by Clive Tyldesley being the commentator.

The log in struggles are real.
Definitely the quietest I can remember Kumb being.
