Remember having a Phil Spector box set, picked up in a charity shop back in the 90's which had a whole disc of Ronnettes and Crystals tracks. "Goodfellas" music I used to call it....I loved it. God rest your soul Ronnie...

I was fortunate enough to see her a few years ago at the Roundhouse - more than a gig, this was a SHOW.

RIP Ronnie, thank you for the music.

I was always partial to a bit of the Ronettes - Sleigh Ride is definitely one of the best Christmas tracks ever.

Was always partial to Nedra Talley (the one on the left) as well in my youth irrespective of the singing.

of all of the girl groups from that period, The Ronettes were the poster band for the genre. I always felt badly for Ronnie for the horrible abuse she received at the hands of psycho Phil Spector. Even as he was in mid trial for murder he actively campaigned to prevent Ronnie from getting into the hall of fame. And then her guest appearance on an Eddie Money track in the 80's. Why Ronnie, why? Anyhow, she was one of the voices that represent that period of pop music in the early 60's. RIP

I saw her at Glastonbury in 2016. She was huge fun, completely got the crowd, lapped up the love and had them eating out of the palm of her hand. Such a shame.
