Suits us though to be fair. Both would still be 10 points behind, although Brighton would still have a game in hand.

Re: Other Games 14/1-17/1
Wouldn't be all that surprised to see Man United drop 2 or even 3 points this weekend, which would be nice, especially if we run to form and beat Leeds again. Would make our game at Old Trafford one much more significant for the home side.
Watford could do some serious damage to Newcastle, if they beat them this weekend, as much as there is a lot of road left to run.
Just looking at the table and I noticed the absolutely terrible scoring record Wolves have got, to date. 14 goals!

I think we want a draw for Man Utd rather than a loss. They'll be more likely to sleepwalk into our game that way thinking they're okay. A loss might cause a radical rethink of what they're doing before they face Tartan Diego Simeone's Massive Bastards.

There used to be that amazing stat of how rarely Nuno’s Wolves used to score in the first half.
Now we’ve got Potter saying hold my beer and routinely barely scoring in either half. 87 minutes counts as steaming out of the blocks and nicking an early goal for this lot.

Inadvertently got caught up in the Brighton v Palace Ultras standoff at Brighton station. I was only there for a curry so got a little peeved at being kettled.
Funny bunch. Hoodlums 6th form stylee.

They're excellent. Knock the ball about well, dominate matches and have a lovely flow about their game.
They've only lost 4 all season. It's their lack of goals and thus wins that's doing them in, otherwise they'd be with us challenging the big boys for top 4.

Good result for us as I'm reliably informed that the likes of Brighton and Palace are gaining on us fast.

Re: Other Games 14/1-17/1
Some big games today at both ends of the table.
- If Chelsea lose to Man City today and we do our job tomorrow we will be just 3 points behind them.
- If Villa can take a point or 3 against Man Utd we can have a bit more of a cushion IF again we don’t slip up tomorrow. Even better if they lose as even if they win their 2 games in hand we’ll have a 3 point cushion and a better goal difference.
- Newcastle vs Watford is almost as ‘massive’ as West Ham! Whoever losses that is in deep doo-doo! Especially if it’s Newcastle as they’ll be then 5 points behind Watford, who have a better goal difference and a game in hand.
- Wolves are at home to a more in form Southampton. Wolves have 2 games in hand and if they win them both they’ll only be 3 points behind us. We could really do with Southampton picking up something.
- Finally, Norwich at home to an out of form Everton. This is the sort of game Norwich really need to pick up some points to stand any chance of surviving. As for Everton if they win they’ll go even further away from the relegation battle. Lose and they’ll be ‘slightly’ looking over their shoulders and I wouldn’t be surprised if Benitez is finally sacked in the process.

An interesting weekend ahead. Starting by watching England getting stuffed again followed by a plastic derby.

City and Chelsea lost 2 of the last 39 games they have played between them in all competitions (it is three if you include our penalty win) .. (Palace beat City in the league.) Shows how dominant these teams are and how well we've dealt win them.

Barring one aimless run, Lukaku has been absolute dire in the early game so far, his decision making is making Antonio look like a footballing Einstein

The only thing I am 'enjoying' is Man City's pressing it is flawless, the fitness and discipline they exhibit to pull it off, it will be our final form when the opposition have the ball if Dave can get the last few players.
