Dawson has scored 19 goals in the Premier League since the start of 2014-15 - more than any other central defender - with 14 of those coming via headers.
And how many from shoulders ?

That's a very good return though, considering he has missed a few decent opportunities this season too.

Saturdays goal was a beaut

bloody brilliant analysis although to be honest, much as I've tried, I fail to make the stats and explanations go into my head. a cracking read though as always.

and so much better than the EUMB crew who come up with so much less, in so much more time !!!

:crylol: :crylol:

which is why this lad has his job, and I'm retired !!!!

:crylol:

thanks for putting these post-match things together, Jack, and cheers Boss for finding someone so obviously good at what he does.

An annoyingly fair OV, that. Aside from a few sneers, there wasn’t much to disagree with.

Has any visiting fan ever liked the stadium? Unless you're being selective, they all seem to loathe it. Mind you I seem to remember polls and it coming last - behind even Palace!

One of the fairer OVs. I thought their supporters were excellent on Saturday to be fair, hardly ever let up. They were in the rain too which would have dampened many others’ spirits.

I thought they played well on Saturday without key players and I fear Newcastle are definitely going to be another team challenging for top six next season. That’s the current eight, them, and the under-performing Leicester. I’d normally include Everton but I think their journey back could be a longer one.

Tough league this.

That analysis is a great read for someone as tactically illiterate as I am.

My Spurs mate moaned like f*** that they "couldn't get any songs going" because of the gap between lower and upper tier away fans, and "the constant booing" from our fans next to them. Genius stadium design (cough, ahem) I reckon.

Personally, I would prefer them to loathe their day out and feel as uncomfortable as possible both Stadium and match wise.

I do, however I tend to do it in much more comfort than I used to and in parts of the ground more conducive to enjoying my day out. Ive done my miles over many years to inhospitable towns and grounds being treated like sheep and stuck in awful (often dangerous) parts of a ground with a terrible view. For me this is payback

To be honest I find todays 'modern' stadia universally quite souless and built to accomodate as many 'customers' as possible and fleece them. Provided I am entertained by the game I am reasonably ambivalent to the ground. The 70's and 80's stadiums were the cathedrals for the working man. Long, long gone.

That is a damming indictment of the Stadium, to be considered worse than Selhurst.
