Levy allegedly tried to tap phones and have West Ham employees surveilled by private investigators, geed up the legal action against owning the OS, and tried to ratfuck us on the pitch by nixing a deadline deal for Adebayor. It’s not because of a football rivalry that we don’t deal with them, it’s because of previous behaviour.
And we're ****ing whiter than white??? Sorry but I don't think we are any better than any other business. Because that is what it is, for better or for worse (and I personally think it's for worse but that's just my opinion).
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at you about this. It's just that I find he whole idea that we, as West Ham, are so much more moral than any other football club to be very wide of the mark (although I think we'd all agree that it would be great if we were). We do, after all, have very shitty owners.

Surely Kehrer starts ahead of Johnson. I'd put him in ahead of Johnson this weekend if it were possible.
I admit I’m probably a bit biased, but I really rate Johnson and I genuinely believe he has a good chance of becoming an excellent wide center back in a back three (the Kyle Walker/Cresswell role). Obviously performances will dictate who gets the nod and we will see lots of both players this season.

Would we turn down Son or Kane if we ever had the opportunity? I know we would never get either but seriously just because its Spurs is a bit lame.
It's pretty clear this window that we're only targeting players who are already fluent in English, so I think that rules out Kane.

wonder if they've made 20M during the years he's been out on loan, so any sale is basically pure profit, he's probably even covered the transfer fee they paid to begin with...
I've read this a few times now... Where does it come from? He's been on loan from Chelsea once. (Last season)

Like you, I also really rate him highly. But only as a Full Back. Admirable as it is to see him fill in at Centre Back as emergency cover, I wouldn't want to see him there permanently. He'd get found out regularly up against top class Forwards if he was. His height and positioning would be his biggest weakness.
Should we not get in the desired real quality left footed Left Back, then for me it's Johnson to take over Cresswell. He often impresses me playing there for both us and the U21s, so he should be seriously considered now long term if 1 better can't be found.

No one is suggesting West Ham has the moral high ground over anyone with these owners. Not after some of the strokes Sullivan has pulled himself. I think some object specifically to dealing with Spurs because they directly derailed our owners' plans. I'm not bothered - Sullivan is ugly enough (if not big enough) to deal with that himself.

I have a gut feeling we will sign a sensational player that will come as a complete surprise to everyone. Don’t know who but just feel something special is going to happen before the end of the window.
Only seen him tonight so will reserve judgement as such but Anel Ahmedhodzic of Sheffield United looks a tidy defender.
23 year old Bosnian.18 full caps.

I just won't be having the players suggested.
Some appear to be trying to suggest such a thing but I too, am not bothered by that. I agree with your second paragraph 100%.
I would have Emerson if the price was right and, although he's slipped off my radar, I would consider Maintland-Niles, even though his first name is Ainsley ( ). I do remember him as being pretty good.

If we stick with a back four, I definitely don’t see him as a center back either and would love to see him make the left back position his. I’m a sucker for a homegrown player so I would actually prefer to see him take over from Cresswell rather than bring in a new left back, which in turn opens a pathway for Ashby to make his mark. The dream would be Ashby coming through on the right with Johnson on the left. Full backs sorted for the next decade. As for my original comment, I was more thinking if we switch to a back three, I could see the Kyle Walker/Cresswell wide center back role suiting his strengths really well.

Have to say, we're building a pretty encouraging relationship with PSG. Their reserves are better than most clubs' starters.
