He might come to us, he might stay at VR, he might wait until after the WC, he might do this this, he might do that?? geezer needs to make a decision. Sounds too wishy washy to me, anyway hope we make an offer then either come or don't pal, before we move on to the next diva

So we negotiated a deal with Villarreal, opened talks with Danjuma, then Moyes decided otherwise :lol:Puff Daddy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 4:52 pm I tell you what I do think, that sometimes Moyes does need a rocket up his bum
Come on now Puff, even you know better than to believe that.

I think for the first time in a long time, GSB, (and now Kretinsky) and the clubs management (Moyes/Newman) are all on the same page.
GSB have now realised that Moyes is tight with the purse strings.
Call them what you want but Gold and Sulli probably know a good employee when they see one.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
Nonsense. I don't believe this story for a minute but if there is any truth in it Moyes is quite correct to refuse to have the player foisted on him.
What is the point in signing a player, thus reducing the available transfer pot, the manager doesn't see fitting into his plans ?

Richarlison has a much better all-round game than DCL. I doubt Everton can afford to lose him to us anyway.Danny's Dyer Acting wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 4:53 pm Richarlison 43 in 135
Jesus 38 in 120
DCL 40 in 121
Above are the player's respective Premier League goalscoring records since turning 21 (luckily they all did so within weeks of each other!).
Interesting that the first two are going for, depending on your media source, £45-55m this summer yet a lot of us thought something around £50m for DCL seemed excessive when there were rumours earlier in the summer.
Not necessarily suggesting he's the guy for us but just thought it was odd to have 3 such similar examples to look at to see where the market is these days.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
I sure moyes knows but.... I hope he realises that it's OK to pick up players from his '2nd choice' list if his first choice players aren't available.
I don't want him to turn around and say we missed out signing a LB and a CF because his No1 targets weren't available. "We'll look again in Jan or next summer".
That would be unforgivable.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
Richarlison is a cracking player and a top bloke by all accounts
Bentancur
Bissouma
Kuvaleski
Richarlison
Perisic
Spence
Llenglet
Unfortunately, apart from Llenglet, that is a set of very good signings since January
Spurs beating Arsenal for 4th was a very bad long term outcome IMHO, as without that happening they wouldn#t have signed all of those players and potentiall Kane and Conte would have gone, maybe Son as well

I hope that means we are going for one of the better ones Wilko.
I wasn't convinced wijndal was the right player for us. Looks more like a winger playing fullback and physically would suffer more than Cresswell.

The same Richarlison that Cresswell kicked at the London Satium and his Everton teammates kept their heads down and got on with the game?Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 5:23 pm Richarlison is a cracking player and a top bloke by all accounts
Cracking player? That is very subjective mate.

Good player but I’m struggling a bit with this one. We need a pure left back, with a left foot who likes to overlap and play outside-in.funky chicken wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 5:34 pm I reckon we’ll end up with that Maehle for the left back.
That isn’t really neither his position nor his style of play.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
Bit gutted about Wijndal but not overly as Ajax are mine and little Macca’s second team so I’ll be seeing him this season anyway.
Wijndal is top quality. Within a couple of years, €40m+ to a Bayern Munich or Man City is my prediction.
