Agreed

It's feels like we're in a one horse race for him

That isn’t really neither his position nor his style of play.
Do we?

Genuine question... but if that tactic is so obvious surely it becomes easier to defend against?

You certainly wouldn't get that play with Maehle...he looks about as right footed as they come

Could be a lot of happy people on here tomorrow if the Lingard update above is true :)

Not all done yet but Aguerd, Areola, Lingard and Maehle all done by early in July would be some start to the summer!

I mean, I'm not sure I see as Maehle as a pure 4 at the back at defender. So unless we go to that wing back system, which I personally despise, I think it's a stark positional difference issue.

The right footed dude playing at LB isn't as much of a deal breaker, but even that is something I find a bit weird. We've proven we are open to it by using Johnno there, but with having an inverted winger in front, it just seems an unideal use of space if the overlapping full back isn't one to naturally want to wrap that left foot around the ball.

I'll be happy to see Maehle here, but it's strange because he doesn't play like the other full backs we are being linked to. He might not even be a full back!

Conte is a brilliant manager. Unfortunately. Anyone not rating Richardason clearly knows f*** all about football. Excellent player.

In terms of the attack....we are miles apart.

I just cling into the hope that Dier remains at CB next season!

I don’t see it as an either/or situation with lingard and Danjuma

Moyes probably sees LW down the list of priorities behind LB, Broja and central midfielder and doesn’t know how much will be in the kitty after them

Moyes is a frustrating transfer window manager. He always has been. But it doesn't really matter and it's worth the speed bumps because ultimately you're most likely getting a good football team for that following season.

He isn't infallible and there will be times when you wonder why he didn't sign a certain player who went on to do well. Or why Vlasic was the one etc. But ultimately, we'll get more good results than bad ones and have a nice team.

If the rumoured fee for Danjuma is £40m and we would only be able to recoup £20m for Benrahma it’s not worth it.

He’s not two the player that Benny is.

Throw that money at a new striker instead.

That reminds me, what happened to Schick from Bayer Leverkusen anyway?

Well it was widely reported he wanted Eze, then it was reported he wanted King. I mean we sold Diangana to fund players elsewhere to go & sign a winger. Benrahma was a salthouse client as well weren’t he?. I think he was a Sullivan signing.

There’s just too much smoke for there not to be any fire.

- Heavily linked the last 2 weeks;
- Been linked with us before (2020);
- Sent scouts to watch Denmark play;
- A league we’ve shopped from a lot in recent years;
- Fairly low fee and wages.

I also think his versatility will really appeal to Moyes.

So nothing but conjecture?

He wanted Eze, we didn't have the money, then we sold Diangana and now had the money, unfortunately Eze was gone so we went for another option.

Benrahma huge upgrade on Diangana and about the same price.

I think he metaphorically laughed at us an interview, and whored himself out to Bayern Munich instead. The cheeky b*stard.
