How would people feel if we played Chelseas new owners this window, by intimating we'll sell Rice to them next summer, if they sell Gallagher to us this window as a 'gentlemans agreement'? Then go back on our word and sell him to another Club next summer instead should Rice still wish to leave at that point.

Personally I'd love that to happen as I hold that Club in the highest contempt for what they done to the game with regards to distorting the transfer market under the Abramovich years.

Forest are certainly going for it. £85m spent so far, with £20m on Dennis, and another €9m on Remo Freuler to come.

£85m is less than we've spent and we're apparently cheapskates :?

Forest's problem is large turnover and none over them are proven. Dennis will be their biggest signing at £20m, it's a lot of £5m-£15m punts, if half don't work out they're likely going down.

Fulham did similar a few years ago, £100m on an entire new team and they went down with a whimper.

I'm pretty certain we have no interest in Sosa. There hasn't been a single credible link. It was in an obscure Croatian outlet, then the Sun rehashed it using that source. Which is a shame because it's probably the position we are most desperate for and Sosa would be fantastic.

It could all backfire massively if their new signings don't gel and they end up relegated.

I keep going away for a hour or so come back hoping for a breakthrough on a transfer but since Monday nothing so this week I don't think there will be a signing. Also we only really have until tomorrow as we all know nothing happens with west ham at the weekend.

I’m the same although he would be an interesting choice I don’t see it

I think Luke Thomas is the target… young can learn from cresswell for a season! We are probably waiting to see how the situation unfold there!

Ah yes, the Fulham FC 2018/19 technique.

Much vaunted.

Hi Romford,
My worry is we already have strong u23 potential capable of learning from Cresswell over 12 months. I think Ashby is the most promising from what I’ve seen. However, our need is the next premier league, and then the one after that.

Imagine, and I know it would never happen, but what if Cresswell hurt his back and was out for say …six weeks?

Let’s buy a proper first eleven starting left back………please.
👍🤞

Misko from La République française and Dusseldorf from das Vaterland, two of our best posters. I thought Brexit was meant to sort this kinda stuff out.

Where’s the homegrown talent?

Albie Beck wrote: Thu Aug 11, 2022 10:04 am But that's what negotiation is about. They can propose all sorts of stuff, but if we aren't accepting some, or all of it, they have an unhappy player sitting there because this is a 3-way negotiation.

So there should be some room - when the pressure is on - to get Chelsea to make their "clauses" more reasonable.
Sounds like communism to me and has about as much chance of being successful!

That unhappy player will just be shipped out to Everton, Palace etc etc. Chelsea have all the power in that kind of arrangement.

Look, we all love to see a homegrown lad like Garry storming the boards, but forumming's a global game these days and if KUMB is going to continue competing at the very top level we're going to need recruits from all over.

Is Szalai our left back option or are we perhaps referring to the 3 at the back system?
