Which kind of indicates just how lacking in depth the heavyweight division is right now. A total mismatch.York Ham(mer) wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 9:20 pm Whyte is the mandatory challenger for the WBC world title that Fury holds, UTJ.

I think it says more about the fact that people will pay to watch any old s**te.Up the Junction wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:11 pm Which kind of indicates just how lacking in depth the heavyweight division is right now. A total mismatch.

I really like Whyte, I’m glad he’s getting his pay day. I’m ****ed if I am coughing up to watch it though.

Re: Fury/Whyte
Whyte deserves his shot.
He's fought a better quality of opponent than Fury has in the last five years.

Re: Fury/Whyte
Yup. Fury is rightly the heavy favorite but it’s a legit fight.
I think Whyte is better than Wilder personally.

Re: Fury/Whyte
Well, in the last five years, Whyte has beaten Helenius, Browne, Parker, Chisora, Rivas, Wach and Povetkin. Fury has beaten Seferi, Pianeta, Schwarz, Wallin and the Dosser twice. Still, I expect Fury will go southpaw to negate the left hook and jab Whyte head off!Up the Junction wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:11 pm Which kind of indicates just how lacking in depth the heavyweight division is right now. Re: Fury/Whyte
Whyte totally deserves this fight, but if Fury is on song and takes the fight seriously, I think it’ll be one sided with a late stoppage.

Re: Fury/Whyte
I don't think so but this is how Arum operates.
He gets a venue too large and charges too much. Then he gets his money back from TV rights.
If you're stupid enough to buy tickets straight away that's on you.
A week or so before the fight prices drop dramatically.
Then again in the few days before the fight.
Day of fight local police or unions or somebody gets free tickets so they can fill the venue.
3 years ago I got $200 tickets for a Lomachenko fight for around $30 each a few days before and still felt ripped off as others had free tickets

Re: Fury/Whyte
2 e-mails a day at least trying to sell me tickets for this. Never seen a fight pushed like this one before.
I know Fury is liked by many, I doff my cap to him for his mental health awareness, he is undoubtedly a very talented "true" boxer, but I can't warm to him, in fact, I think he is a proper dick.

A few years ago, I thought he was a proper helmet, but since he seemed to have beaten his demons, I have a lot more time for him.
