That is Steph Curry I think. He has basically changed an entire sport with his long range shooting ability.

Yeah looks like it. Looks like Golden State's home arena too.Denbighammer wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 11:41 pm That is Steph Curry I think. He has basically changed an entire sport with his long range shooting ability.
That is insanely good. To be that accurate from each distance is just mental.

March Madness over here. The top 64 college basketball teams in a knockout competition.
San Diego Aztecs reached the last 8 for the first time ever.
Then today reached the last 4.
The town is going crazy.

I have got into it a bit. I quite like the fat Slovenian lad that plays for Dallas (even though the imbecile has marks on him from cupping).

Watched a good documentary the other day on the Basketball brand And1 and their Street Basketball. What they did was pretty ****ing incredible, just a shame they couldn't sustain it. Always difficult with Nike's billions though.

Broke the hearts of Boston Celtics almost single-handedly in the play-offs last year. Looks the real deal.

San Diego Aztecs are in the final.
We'd never even made the last eight before.

A bit like Ice Hockey, I like the idea of the sport more than the actual sport. Documentaries about these sports and their most memorable athletes are generally better than watching the games.

Was an exciting last few minutes. I believe they only led once in the game, and that was when they sunk the winning basket with .02 seconds left on the clock.

I used to watch the EuroLeagues, I think it was on Eurosport at the time.
Always good games towards the end of the series.
Same with handball.
Rarely watch games these days

Re: Anyone into basketball?
Always take an interest in the NBA play offs and Boston Celtics have always been my team but it’s been a strange one this year.
Lakers and Celtics are the two most successful teams in the history of NBA’s but Lakers have just been whitewashed 4-0 in Western Conference Final by Denver Nuggets and Celtics are 0-3 playing Miami Heat tonight, needing a miracle as no side has ever overturned a 0-3 deficit in Playoff history.
Celtics were seeded 2nd and Heat were 8th seeds for Eastern Conference but Celtics were strongly favoured to go one better than last year when Golden State Warriors beat them in the final. The first two play off legs were reasonably close and it was only a bad quarter in each game that let the Celtics down. The third leg however was a massacre. A whopping 30 points behind going into 4th quarter and eventually losing 128-102.
I was convinced Celtics would win Eastern Conference Final, especially the way they came from 2-3 down to 76ers. The body language of the Boston players in the 3rd leg at the end was of a team crushed with no where to go.
