Mrs. Boots is distraught. It did give us Kylie and Margot Robbie though...

I watched it lunchtime around the end of 1989 going into the early 90's during my unemployment years. Still can't put a picture up but had a major crush on actress Sarah Vandenbergh, she was gorgeous.

The only thing that has genuinely distressed Mrs Bubbs in the last 5/6 years.

She felt the need to ask about Home and Away too.

How will it end though?

Was it all a dream in Kylie's head? Are they all killed by a plague of venomous snakes and spiders? Or does Putin has a strong hatred of Ramsey Street and nukes the place?

Mrs Bubbs watches it on catch up every day.

Paul Robinson and Karl and Susan are all still in it. Rebekah Elmaloglou became overly fond of doughnuts at some point (i'm sure she used to be in Home and Away)

Home and Away has the Cameron Diaz lookalike in it. And Alf. And Marilyn - who has lost her mind.

Not as much as Meena in Emmerdale though.

Was she with Matt Le Tiss a few years back, or did I imagine that? :chin:

My missus and youngest watch this and Home and Away every day during dinner where they have a nice little catch up.

A shame it's ending to be honest.

I remember when it first started back in 1985 and then it became almost an obsession for most people i know. When it was only nn at lunchtime I used to record it and watch after school and then came the dream combo of neighbours at 5.35 and Hone and Away at 6pm
I expect Neihhbours was the catalyst for many people to emigrate to Australia and seek out out delights of A Ansons Corner, Lassiters and the Geiger Counter

In its heyday - 1987-95ish it was brilliant TV

About ten years ago I came up with the plan to start watching from the beginning as all episodes were on YouTube. I hoped to make q big dent in it and potentially one day even catch up with modern day but even though I watched for about two years I couldn't get further on than about 1988. Even watching one episode q day proved tough let alone the plan of 3 or 4

And yes rebekah elmogolou was in home and away. She played Sophie, one of thr many kids fostered by Pippa. She was fit but with iffy skin. Now she is a proper bloater it seems

The objectification and body shaming of women in this thread is depressing.
