Just watching Lyon V Angers and Lyon are extremely susceptible on the break.

Lyon now 2-2 at home to 14th place Angers and they look sloppy at the back. They press hard, but once you get through the press they leave so many gaps.

A real shame Lanzini can’t play in this game. As he would have definitely started for me. He’s made our midfield tick in some of our recent games.

We need to try and win this game and then we can hopefully play for the draw in the away leg. Easier said than done!

Assuming Johnson is okay he’ll come in for Fredericks and Areola for Fabianski. With what Moyes said about Bowen not being 100% I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts on the bench.

We will of course have to play at our best to beat them. But if we want to win the cup then we need to beat a team of Lyon’s calibre. If we think that’ll be tough we’ll be in for a shock by the time we have to possibly face the likes of Barcelona, Leipzig and Atalanta in the rounds to follow!
