I'd love to know the calculation behind it. When I saw the 6% win probability, I thought wow, the probability of us winning isn't that much greater than the probability of getting seriously ill with covid.

Well, sort of. I'm sure you get my point.
It doesn't, no, but just another bloody stat to throw out.

Watching the snooker I see there are more and more stats appearing as well.

Maybe they should do a stat for the amount of rolling around dying :chin:

He wants those group of 12-13 players to take total responsibility for where they finish at the end of the season wherever that may be. He wants it to all be on them, so they do better next season. He's taking a long term view.

Either that or his a total genius and total fool all at the same time.

I know we were knackered, but not for the first time this season, we once again started the second half in sleep mode and paid for it minutes later. Who is giving out these instructions ?

1. He simply doesn't believe any of them are any good.

I cite Benny, Diop, Vlasic, Kral and Arthur as demonstrable evidence.

2. He makes multiple changes against a team arguably fighting a relegation battle, and he gets fined £30k by the PL/FA

I cite Mick Macarthy as evidence. He got done while Wolves manager for this.

3. He has an ongoing battle with his boss as to whether the reserves are any good and doesn't want to encourage his boss by picking plyers he has already deemed crap.

4. He doesn't want to go full allardyce and throw all of the promising U23's under a bus as they ain't ready

I cite Forest away in the FA cup.
OOh, get you pinky.

is Jack not doing game breakdowns any more ?

checked the last few games and nothing and always check the KUMB updates because it was sometimes in there, but haven't seen anything in there either.

would like to try to understand ( :crylol: ) the stuff, but at least I could see if the stats match up to my eyeball as to where things are going right or wrong.

or does he have a website where all that stuff is included please ?

cheers

I'm having difficulty getting over yesterday. I know I should put it to bed, but dammit it was such a spineless effort that it's irritating me like a mild toothache. Lyon will feel very encouraged after watching that.

Fab, Coufal, Lanzini was three for starters.

Cresswell can't play next Thursday and only played half a game last Thursday, so that's 4 (ish).

The only name I was actually surprised to see missing from the starting XI was Benrahma, because he'd only played half a game as well and he'd potentially give one of Fornals, Bowen or Antonio a bit of time off.

Apart from that, it's a bench full of players he simply doesn't seem to rate any more (if he ever did). Noble wasn't on the bench so was presumably unavailable.

We made two changes after the first Sevilla leg and still beat Villa. We then made one change from that team and best Sevilla in the second leg.

Shearer wasn't saying we had to mix up our starting 11 then.
Difference between Villa and Brentford,Villa played in the week too.

A lot of games we have lost this season have been down to us playing in the week, while the opposition have had a weeks rest. With the likes of City,Liverpool and Chelsea(In Europe),they can change 5 or 6 players,we can't and don't.Moyes should have been amalgamating some of the players, especially the youngsters.

You cannot run the same XI players into the ground.

difference is mate, Jota can come off for Firmino (or vice versa) Diaz can come on for Mane (or vice versa) Gundogan can come on for any of their midfielders, they have about 4 CB's who would all be good to start for us, Chelsea can bring on (even though he's shyte right now) a 90M CF for anyone, they have also about 5 midfield players that can rotate and they can afford to leave Pulisic @ 70M on the bench.

they usually don't drop off in talent.

the only team that seems to bring on any changes from the bench and actually get worse is ManYoo
