Snooker: World Championships 2022
Just been watching the Selby vs Yan match.
What a titanic battle between the 2 of them.
The 22 frame was enthralling. Over 85 minutes of everything a fan could ever want to watch.
So with Selby out there will be a new name on the trophy. I wouldn't bet against it being Yan but obviously would like it to be Ronnie

Re: Snooker: World Championships 2022
West Ham supporter Bingham please. Or ethier Mark Williams or Shaun Maguire.
Anyone but that whinging, whining, dickhead, hater of Snooker, gamesmanship playing, crybady, patronizing, worse fans in the game, total tosshead of a human, I'm not bothered, prefer running, snooker bores me, daddy issues Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Anyone but him.

Higgins, Williams, O'Sullivan, Bingham, Trump and Robertson have all won it before.

As much as you don't like him, you have to say he is a bit good at the game... bit like Ronaldo in football.

Lisowski currently at 28/1 as a decent outside bet.
A Sullivan/Bingtao final would be very watchable.

Would like to see the winner of o'Sullivan or maguire win it
If not, then Robertson, if not him then Lisowski or Bingtao
Anyone but Higgins I suppose at this stage

Re: Snooker: World Championships 2022
I have been a huge Snooker fan my entire life, but despite being an avid watcher for 40+ years remarkably I have never seen a Maximum break of 147 completed live
That is until now having just watched Neil Robertson make one at the Crucible.
FINALLY!!!!
West Ham to win on Thursday and this would a truly awesome week.

Was a great break and a superb match
Robertson has a real mental block at the Crucible and that struck again as at 12-11 up and winning the session 5-2 he somehow managed to lose

Re: Snooker: World Championships 2022
Robertson has freely admitted in the past that the Crucible is one of his least favourite venues and that does seem to have an infect on how he plays there.
Needs to get over it if he wants to win a 2nd World Championship. Ridiculous with all that he has won in the game he only has 1 world title and that was back in 2010

Anyone but Ronnie for me.
Unquestionably one of the greatest ever players but has an attitude to the game that stinks.
Would have liked to see Kyren Wilson win but now he’s out I’ll be happy for Higgins or Williams to lift the trophy.

So long as they entertain, not really bothered who wins.
Ronnie has been a sporting hero of mine for years. Has a strange attitude to the game. I reckon he loves it really but plays it down so that when he loses he acts like he's not that bothered.

Re: Snooker: World Championships 2022
Ronnie is a box of frogs, and doesn't seem to be a particularly pleasant man, but he plays the game in the way we'd all want to be able to play it. Much as I like the calculating styles of the Davises and Stephen Hendrys, I never wanted to be able to play like that - White, Hurricane, Ronnie, even Drago, played it the way it's meant to be played.
John Higgins is a ****.
John Higgins is a ****.

Re: Snooker: World Championships 2022
I like Ronnie’s snooker, I was a Hurricane Higgins and then a White fan and Ronnie was always the natural successor to that style of play. Way more successful than both Higgins and White, but it’s just his contempt for the Sport and fellow professionals that lets him down massively.

It'd be good to see Bingham win it again. Just starting on BBC2 again now.

Yeah, I’d go along with that. Always plays well at Sheffield and was a good scrap with Kyren WilsonUp the Junction wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 10:07 am It'd be good to see Bingham win it again. Just starting on BBC2 again now.

Think you'll find that's WG, but I'm certainly not a member of the Higgins fan club.westham, eggyandchips wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 10:14 am Me neither tbh.
