After 4 cans of Stella, this sounds like a symphonic masterpiece

I think a hippy lad I used to live with as a student used to have a Gong (possibly Hawkwind) album that declared that it was recorded in a way that 'got you high' without the need of toke or tab.

I kind of get that feeling when I play this

I once had to have some weapons-grade opiates as part of a pain relief thing in hospital and, when I came out the next day, withdrawing from that blissful sense of being stress and strain free, I think I played this on a loop for about an hour.

Oh, and this

The slowed down stuff is in a category of its own.

When I was a teenager I was doing a live in job and had an older Irish guy in the flat next door. One night I went next door to his for a few drinks and later on for a smoke, it was the first time I’d tried it. He put on a group call Tangerine Dream and there was this track with the sound of a train running through it. I can still hear it now, the train sounded like it was going round the room, it blew my f*cking tiny mind!

I enjoy watching interesting videos which have an added trippy dimension when you're out of your mind. I have only just discovered this video that day but I imagine it's quite an experience after a smoke.

OK... well for that, my vote goes to PiL - Metal Box. Maybe the Flowers of Romance album too.

Rammstein again. The foreign language makes it abstract for non German speakers which may add to the experience. But it is the marriage of beautiful visuals which really makes it a viewing pleasure whether intoxicated or not. So brave and inventive and powerful. I admire them for their art especially in an age when music videos have declined. I think if you enjoy one of their videos, you'd probably appreciate all of them.
