The play off match will be no glamour tie. If its not kids for a quid then the stadium will be less than 50% full

Just looking at that link to the guide on who we could face in the play offs. Anyone who thinks it will be easy could be gravely mistaken! Looks likely that we’ll be seeded but looks like fiorentina, cologne, nice, Sparta Prague, anderlecht won’t be seeded so we could get a tricky play off game.

Although not certain, its highly likely that all those teams you have mentioned will be seeded along with us.cockneyboy21 wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 2:51 pm Just looking at that link to the guide on who we could face in the play offs. Anderlecht, for example, were comfortably one of the teams seeded last year for the play off draw & they have the lowest coefficient than all the teams mentioned.

Another 17 games if we go the whole way.
It’s gonna cost Sulli more than it’s worth (to him anyway).
Fantastic.

that would be a big crowd in the middle of summer for a play off game

Only a couple of August games on lukewarm evening against a ‘bunch of farmers’.
What’s the worst that can happen?

Hopefully we can give Josh Cullen a run out. Lord knows we've waited long enough to see him get his chance.Aztec Hammer wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 4:30 pm Only a couple of August games on lukewarm evening against a ‘bunch of farmers’.

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
Can't wait to play teams we've never played in our history before (most likely) and experience a new competition. We need to go all out and win it. We should have won the EL if not for Cresswell mistake, so I think we can go all the way in the ECL. Trophies are important if we're going to keep growing and improving. Won't be easy but I think the fans are going to enjoy it.

We'll have already played at least 2 league games by the time the first leg rolls around.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 4:28 pm even 50% full is 30k

Stadium will be half full, then there'll be people moaning they can't get tickets when it comes to the quarter finals

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
I asked this in the other European football thread, but don't know if it got answered. Does anybody know how the grouping works for the play-off round?
Last season there were four 'groups' of teams in the main path of the draw, 3 of 8 teams and 1 of 10. Half were seeded and half weren't, but only the teams within the groups were able to face each other.
So Spurs could only face Pacos de Ferreira, CSKA Sofia, Aberdeen, or Hammarby. Similarly Roma could only face Trabzonspor, Anorthosis Famagusta, Santa Cara, Sicasspor, or Zilina.
It all seems to be done 'in accordance with the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee' but, like, what are they?

Not sure about the answer but it is noticeable that the pots kept the English, German, Italian and French teams apart - i.e those with big TV audiences. Teams from the same country couldn't be drawn against each other.YorksHammer wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 4:55 pm I asked this in the other European football thread, but don't know if it got answered. Spain's representatives , Villareal, went into the Champions League instead because of their Europa League win.

Anderlecht, for example, were comfortably one of the teams seeded last year for the play off draw & they have the lowest coefficient than all the teams mentioned.
According to that guide It seems anderlecht’s coefficient is a lot lower than last season so they will highly likely be unseeded. The highest unseeded club had a coefficient of 17.000 in last seasons play offs, fiorentina, cologne, nice and Sparta Prague all have a lower coefficient than 17.000 so based upon last season will be unseeded for the play offs.
