Thanks mate I am booked on the 23:50 euro tunnel and hoping that would be pretty straight forward to get back for thenPhil S wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 7:58 pm It's quite normal to be kept in for quite a while post match..We'll likely park in one of the free park and rides and hope we can get back quickly after the match.

West Ham / Met police usually give good advice closer to the match.

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
Don't you still get a 2 hour flexible window around a eurostar ticket, always used to be able to roll up and they'd just put you on the next available, check your ticket , as I've never got on the train I'm timed/booked to be on, always either earlier or later, as its a 14hr drive to there for me, so they have that window for exactly that as timing can vary
Online
Ended up getting back much earlier and got straight on.

Seemed that way when we came back from Anderlecht, yes.sicknote wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 9:26 am Don't you still get a 2 hour flexible window around a eurostar ticket, always used to be able to roll up and they'd just put you on the next available, check your ticket , as I've never got on the train I'm timed/booked to be on, always either earlier or later, as its a 14hr drive to there for me, so they have that window for exactly that as timing can vary

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
I think it depends on how busy they are. I went over for the France-England 6 Nations game last year, my mate missed the train we were booked on and for the money they wanted to rebook him it was cheaper to go to Luton and fly to Parissicknote wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 9:26 am Don't you still get a 2 hour flexible window around a eurostar ticket, always used to be able to roll up and they'd just put you on the next available, check your ticket , as I've never got on the train I'm timed/booked to be on, always either earlier or later, as its a 14hr drive to there for me, so they have that window for exactly that as timing can vary

Eurostar or Shuttle?sicknote wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 9:26 am Don't you still get a 2 hour flexible window around a eurostar ticket, always used to be able to roll up and they'd just put you on the next available, check your ticket , as I've never got on the train I'm timed/booked to be on, always either earlier or later, as its a 14hr drive to there for me, so they have that window for exactly that as timing can vary
My understanding is that Eurostar tickets are fixed to a particular train (I have changed mine before but with a fee payable).
Some Shuttle tickets, where you take your car through the tunnel, are for a specific time (Shuttle train) but we've been accommodated on the first available train if arriving early. Flexibility however may depend on the type of ticket you have.

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
Yep talking about the shuttle, as they mentioned a car park and waiting, and as I say always had no issues
The eurostar at gare de nord is very strict on times unless you get a flexi ticket, even then its a chore to actually change it even though you've paid to

“Last year we reached the semi-finals and I hope we can get to a final. But we’ve always got big games, and in the last couple of years we’ve been in strong league positions with no problem at the bottom of the league.
This year we have got a problem at the bottom of the league and that does have an effect on our thinking.”

Correct.
Saving grace might be that with his team selections, our 'second' team is possibly better than our first anyway!

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
To be honest, I know the trip won't be as appealing as many have gone there already, but Anderlecht and USG both winning would be the most ideal results for us imo. Get Anderlecht again, a side we have already beaten twice, and get home advantage on the return leg.

Do we get much of a home advantage playing at a half empty, soulless bowl?TommyHammer wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:06 am To be honest, I know the trip won't be as appealing as many have gone there already, but Anderlecht and USG both winning would be the most ideal results for us imo. I have a hard time believing a European semi final would be half empty.BobbyMooreLower wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:09 am Do we get much of a home advantage playing at a half empty, soulless bowl?

I thought the same for the quarter final but take a look at the ticket sales!Greatest Hits Vol1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:12 am I have a hard time believing a European semi final would be half empty.
Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
I make it that only 5 of the first XI that started against us when we last played them started the match against AZ last night. I can only imagine that there has been a big overhaul, either in personnel or play, at Anderlecht since our games against them, as I thought they were terrible.TommyHammer wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:06 am To be honest, I know the trip won't be as appealing as many have gone there already, but Anderlecht and USG both winning would be the most ideal results for us imo. I agree something must of gone on there because they were dire, Silkeborg and Viborg gave us tougher games.GALF wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:55 am I make it that only 5 of the first XI that started against us when we last played them started the match against AZ last night. Fair chance of that happening then as Anderlecht are 2.0 up and USG drew 1.1 away.
