Got until Weds to buy my seat but last night virtually everyone seemed to have bought a cheap seat then come down into the many empty ones. I’ve not got a problem with that, just want to know how to do it.
Get your ticket from 3:00pm on Wednesday when additional tickets for season ticket holders go on sale. I always buy a different seat for Europe matches as I get extra tickets for my daughters that want to come along and stand in the BML. I have always got the point allocated to me.

Only need to pay attention to Gift Orban and Hong in the Gent team. And maybe factor in their abysmal pitch
And likely AZ in the semi-final - who i thought looked good.

We would be the "away" team for the Final (should we reach it) so I guess we'll be in the white and orange kit :(

Good job Peters didn't stay as a LB. Not sure he'd have made it there :smiler:
Think he had played in every position on the pitch by then including stand in keeper.
The ultimate utility player. Can you imagine that these days?
Also as regards that excellent video, note Ken Wolstenhome saying what a great reception the West Ham fans gave the opposing team.
Doesn't happen these days, people just boo, in fact our match day announcer barely gives the away team a welcome.
Am not sure if the match day programme does either as I don't buy it.
It's a shame we can't be more respectful both as a fan base and as a club.
Unless it's Spurs.

One of the original total footballers, in England anyway.
Surely one of the very best footballers to ever pull on our shirt.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but if we win this do we qualify for Europe (this / Europa League?) again next season?

Gent went 4th domestically this weekend, with a 3-0 home victory.

Looks like their season is 34 games long, so unlikely to improve on 4th given the distance to the team directly above them.

Anderlecht (8th) also won.

After the 34 games, there is a play off between the first 4. (with points being slashed in two)
I know, **** system. :thdn:

“We want to try to get a good starting position and then we go to London. Hopefully we can go one round further. They are now in a relegation battle. Maybe that can play to our advantage, but on the other hand they have already come this far and then you want to get everything out of it. They also don’t play European every year, so they certainly won’t underestimate it. We watched the draw with part of the group. Everyone was quite satisfied.”
They sound quietly confident. :(

In other results, AZ lost 2-1 to Twente, with what you can probably predict with good accuracy is their true starting lineup. Fiorentina beat Lecce 1-0 due to an OG and Nice drew 1-1 at home to Lorient.

It has to be classed as a massive failure if we don't end up winning this tournament

I think not making the final is a big disappointment.

But a one off game against Nice is a tough one, they have an in form attack full of pace and power, and two players we tried and failed to sign so that's two goals for them already.

Agreed, they'll all be looking at us sat in 18th place thinking this is their tournament to lose should they meet us in the final.

I have to say I still can't handle the idea that we are favourites to win something that carries a bit of weight

I hope this benefits us.

People overlooked Frankfurt because a cursory glance at the Bundesliga suggested they were a bit crap.

We West Ham fans know, deep down, we are not as bad a collection of dudes as a less-informed set of eyes looking at the Prem table might be inclined to believe.

Let everyone think we are rubbish.

It's a better position than last season I think, when we were very well-regarded, and so not as much potential to be underestimated or overlooked.

I've spent a bit of time watching games of the teams left in the competition. Throughout the season itself and then in particular in the last few days since the draw.

I nailed it with Villarreal and Lazio to be fair when people were saying they were heavy favourites!

We absolutely can with this b*stard thing.
