Surgery? WTF? Anyone know what this means in terms of the nature of the injury? How can he need an operation for a sprained ankle?

They did initially say x-rays showed no breaks. So he must have had a ligament repaired.

Really worrying they haven’t clarified. Hopefully it’s a ligament and not a tendon.

Not as severe as an ACL rupture, hopefully it’ll be a couple of months

In terms of defensive options we’re going to have to get someone in.

Ogbonna 12-14 months for ACL, he may be a little earlier
Dawson unkown
Aguerd 3 months
Zouma limping round
