It'll be good when this lad is back. We can then see Moyes calling him "Nathan" in more match conferences.

Cornet is pony. My preferred would be Benrahma or Antonio wide left.yakandyeti wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 12:12 pm That would be great, but the weakest two players in that are on the left, I wonder if Cornet might break in ahead of Fornals.

Re: ✍ Nayef Aguerd
I think him coming in and allowing Kehrer to move to right back will be a key part in our progression as a team that can play out from the back comfortably - too many times last night the play broke down on our right-hand side.

Re: ✍ Nayef Aguerd
I like Moyes a lot but calling Nayef - Nathan takes me back to the dark days of 70/80's when foreign names were too much bother to pronounce and everything was turned into something more acceptable.
Come on Moyes you can do this , Nay-Eff not Nay-Than!

Re: ✍ Nayef Aguerd
Given the way this season is going I'm expecting him to look like a giraffe on roller skates tonight. Capped off with an own goal and causing a season ending injury to a team mate.

Re: ✍ Nayef Aguerd
I assume it'd be better if he started, wouldn't it, rather than coming on and trying to get up to speed with the game?
Or is it more likely he'll come on if the game is won?

I would like to see him start. We can take a few chances in this game and it would be good for him to get some actual competitive minutes under his belt.

Quite excited to see him get some minutes under his belt. The sooner we sort out the centre of defense the better!

World Cup is coming at a good time for him. Morocco have Croatia/Belgium and Canada in their group so even if they go out he’d have got some game time.

Re: ✍ Nayef Aguerd
Good timing for him, these Euro games
Poor bloke missed his pre season largely due to the injury, so a couple of games against lower level opponents will hopefully help his match fitness

Hoping the stadium announcer calls him Nathan as well - its what he should be referred to from now on imo. Looking forward to seeing how this chap gets on tonight!

Ha ha. You know it. We finally seemed to have built a squad and now hardly any bugger can stay fit.Danny's Dyer Acting wrote: ↑Thu Oct 27, 2022 10:35 am Given the way this season is going I'm expecting him to look like a giraffe on roller skates tonight.
