Moyes said he won't be involved.

He could be lying though.

He said Nathan won't be involved.

It could be a trick.

Blessing in disguise maybe

Would we have signed kehrer without his injury?

I'd rather both

This geezer oozes confidence and looks to be a great character. Leadership qualities.

Buzzing to see the difference he makes.

I think I'd make him captain even, like you say, he has the qualities. I personally don't think Rice has those yet, maybe he never will.....

Time will tell how good he is in terms of ability. Even in the defeat against Leicester he didn’t really have to do that much, down his side. He’s been pretty fortunate in the majority of the games he’s been given minutes. As he hasn’t had much of a test. But should he start against the Gooners he surely will have some defending to do in that game.

With regards to his character though, I agree with Sticky. He sounds like a really smart bloke and has already shown early signs of some leadership. He not only looks like someone who could be a captain one day, but also someone who will go into coaching, if not management, when he eventually retires.

He's having a decent match v Belgium

Interesting & strange that he's left footed but playing the right sided CB while right footed Saiss is playing on the left

Decent observation... feels like we've lost a leader or 2 recently

You don't need the captains armband to be one of course...

Composure is contagious.

We look panicky at times and that lead to mistakes. When you have someone play out from the back who exudes confidence ~ that will filter thru to the rest of the team..

Like you say - a captain doesn't need an armband..

Missing watching my team..I've watched 15 mins of the World Cup.

Football to me means West Ham ...

Hopefully we are due a fresh start - with Nathan doing his thing.

Can we buy Saiss to play alongside him?

Absolute brick wall those two were against the mayo and chips boys.

A response to the trend for inverted wingers?

These late night matches have left me too tired to think this one through.

I was thinking that too, he's having a good World Cup and complements Aguerd well, despite the feft foot/right foot thing
He's 33 next March, playing at Besiktas - could be a short term loan cover for Zouma?
Didn't realise/remember that he had 6 seasons in the PL with Wolves

One positive out of this WC is that Aguerd should return to training at absolute top match fitness. Hopeful we'll get to see him really step up in the second half of the season.
