Why do we regularly still sing the Ludo song? Why not Joe Cole's? I prefer that song by far. Or Christian Dailly's?

Earlier on someone said Vialli wouldn't be a top player today.

I was looking at former players and while I was looking at Ronnie Boyce, I noticed it said he was our caretaker manager in 1990, I have no recollection of this, did he manage any games or sign any players?.

That was after Macari quit. Bonzo took over almost immediately but Ticker was in charge for the one game when Bonzo was announced. Ludo's home debut too, as it happens.Vienna wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 12:09 am I was looking at former players and while I was looking at Ronnie Boyce, I noticed it said he was our caretaker manager in 1990, I have no recollection of this, did he manage any games or sign any players?.

If football and cricket are our national games I give you Thomas Greenhough, Lancashire County cricketer who in the match at home to Essex in 1962 had the distinction of having his dismissal read caught Geoff Hurst bowled Jim Laker. 2 national heroes of their sports. I bet he dined out on that a few times post 66.

Re: The KUMB bits 'n' pieces thread
Chelsea and Spurs are the teams in the top 4 to realistically catch. Chelsea because they are in a big transition both on and off the pitch (for them). They have money but it's easier said than done to get the right players in and in good time. I can see that being a real issue for them. And spurs because they aren't always used to getting in the top 4 and have frailties themselves at times defensively. The Champions League will also be a distraction.
What both do have going for them though is having top class managers who tend to get the best out of East they do have. Not saying it would be easy but I do believe they are both catchable next season should we do our own job properly. We will have most of the squad good enough in my opinion to do it by the end of the window as we ain't far away right now with the quality we do have. Over to you West Ham...

It says it all when even the off-topic thread ends up going off-topic!

He will not but he will likely be a lot better than Josh Cullen.Colours never run wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 6:10 pm Billy Gilmour to one day be better than Rice... :arry:

Re: The KUMB bits 'n' pieces thread
I'm surprised tbh. He was out on loan to a Ligue 2 club in France who were relegated to the third tier. He only played 20 odd games as well which suggests he didn't pull up any trees. He's 23 now and needs to be playing regularly so he can be properly assessed. Hopefully we'll get him out to a League One or maybe a Championship side next season.

Re: The KUMB bits 'n' pieces thread
I can think of a lot of players who will be better than Josh Cullen tbh. I could never see why he was apparently so highly rated by a lot of Forum contributors. A decent enough player for his level but nowhere nearly good enough for PL consideration imo. Probably found his proper level in Belgium.
