Afternoon all, do we have a thread where people can discuss/praise/challenge media pundits and Youtube channels when they discuss or analyse West Ham related subjects?

If there isn't currently one would it be worthwhile having one?

This could just be the thread I was hoping for but apologies if posted elsewhere.

I saw the new Brad Pitt film called Bullet Train last night. Quirky action thriller set in Japan with an all-star Hollywood cast.

So can you imagine my surprise when I saw the West Ham badge on the back of one of the main character's phones? There were also three different versions of Bubbles played throughout the film and a brief scene of some kids watching a match with the commentary saying we'd just beaten Chelsea.

The director is American so I don't really know why all the West Ham references were included.

Maybe it was something to do with the actors? Can we now claim Brad Pitt as a fan?

I have no clue where to put this, but Spurs have managed to draw Eintracht Frankfurt from pot 1. Bit annoying...

Suppose in law, they have to pay, they did purchase him, after all, but it is no fault of Cardiff City FC, the poor bloke was killed in a plane crash, but this still strikes me as very insensitive

I understand that, but Cardiff had signed the deal, it was all done. Had he had a heart attack on his way to training they would still have had to pay.

Feel Cardiff got away with the €6 mil they have been ordered to pay tbh...
They agreed to pay €17 mil + bonuses at the time...
Still a grubby business all told, doesn't matter who was in the right when multi millionaires are arguing over the price of a dead man.
Hope this finally puts this matter to rest, his family don't need to see their loved one plastered over the news...

I’m really glad Cardiff have had to pay. They’ve known all along that they were liable, and trying to weasel out of it for the last three years has been absolutely disgraceful.

neither he or Depay got on the field yesterday in a romp.

Torres came on I think around 75 or 80.

this aside, which is really awful of course, on the football part of things, Barca want them both obviously moved on.

which is really strange as Depay was good until his injury, then Aubamayang came in couldn't stop scoring.

and they paid nowt for either one...

I honestly think they were Barca fans chasing him out.

Similar to booing Braithewaite onto the pitch, just much much worse.

I like the stories about Ferguson raging about preseason - obviously I'm one of those knicker wetters who cares about building a winning mentality and culture - what do Ferguson know about winning though? Preseason don't matter! :eyes:

I think the poor preseason is the reason we've not been ready for the start of the season and are starting to gel now, on match 5.

Interesting comments on Moyes in the end of the video, including quotes from Ballon D'awson

We don't. You're welcome to start one but if it descends into a marathon slagging of said resources it may well be the case that we lock it at some point.

Sounds like he was assaulted in the car park after the game.

This’ll be an interesting one….
