I've never been to pop festival and I can't imagine I ever will so to anybody who has, can you tell me, what is the attraction to standing up in a farmers field for hour upon endless hour, crowded in like sardines, either in sweltering heat, or in a chill wind , in the pissng rain, with your feet aching like fury ? From the TV pictures, none of it looks very comfortable to me

Gallagher got it right - basically played an Oasis set. FWIW I thought that was the best I've ever heard him sing live.

ps. As for his voice, I think he sounds pretty bloody good for 80 - I'll be happy to still be breathing then, let alone trying to entertain 100,000 people on stage.
