You're reading too much into it. Pre-season squad numbers are all over the placeGreatest Hits Vol1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 4:42 pm Squad numbers are interesting. Possibly hinting at being part of the first team for the u23s or am I reading a bit too much into that?

Friendly or not, still a wake up call, or at least should be when considering the weak conceeding last season against teams that we not only should (At least have drawn against) but especially those around us. I won't bother with histrionics though, CBA.

Good to see the youngsters are attack minded and willing to take a chance.

First pre season game of the year with a mix of players and people already losing their ****.
This is about fitness and an opportunity for the younger players. We don’t need to over analyse everything as doom and gloom.

I think I like this thread as much as the transfer one.

Every year like clockwork. We already have the "Benny cannot be asked, he is being sold" posts in the transfer thread.

I wasn't able to watch the game qnd don't know what the score was, but surely people are not in any way bothered by the outcome or how players performed? It is our first game FFS. It means absolutely nothing

I realise it's only a pre season friendly, but, it's encouraging to see that the match thread is carrying last season's form into the upcoming campaign.

Coventry and Ashby were the best by far. Alese made a few mistakes but his pace saved him and scored an easy goal.
The others that came on in the 2nd half did not look as accomplished. #28 is a tricky dribbler, Okoflex is fast but seemed out of control at times, and Longelo looked good.
