Re: West Ham United v Ipswich Town: match thread
Hard to know how we'll play this.
Doesn't Moyes usually split the first team in half across both games rather than a youth side and a first team side?
Likely to have Fabianski on one goal and Areola (if he's back) in the other.
And similar share across both teams.

Yeah. It’s more about conditioning than anything else. Will be interesting to see if setups are the same for both teams.Bubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 7:37 pm Hard to know how we'll play this.

Without being selfish, I’m turning up on Tuesday and would prefer it if most of the first team was there

From memory we mixed the teams last year so I'd expect the same.
Are the internationals back?

Anyone travelling up there be aware that the A12 has night closures from 9pm and 5am due to barrier replacement between Marks Tey and East Bergholt.

Re: West Ham United v Ipswich Town: match thread
I'd assume we'll see teams split like this if internationals are back
Areola
Ashby Dawson Alese Cresswell
Rice Downes
Bowen Fornals Chesters
Mubama
Fabianski
Coufal Aguerd Ogbonna Johnson
Soucek Coventry
Oko-Flex Lanzini Benrahma
Antonio
With all manner of youth players on both benches!

Re: West Ham United v Ipswich Town: match thread
Annie Ross.
She housed trainees for decades and went to every game whilst holding down a nursing job and being a kindly JP.
She went to Grimsby away, got written off by a teenager in a brand new 4WD and her last words were ‘please don’t let my last game be a defeat at Grimsby.’
Her ashes are buried in an urn in the goalmouth of the home end. She kept out a certain goal for us one year when I was sat with her family there.
I went to the Spotted Dog with her once before a game at ours and all of their crowd, especially the reprobates, loved her.
Proper club

Let’s start the match debrief on Monday and see if some posters even realise the game hasn’t started.
Here’s my usual grumpy contribution:
Bloody ref. Cresswell needs coaching. Xxxx hasn’t scored this season. Why are our set pieces so rubbish. Why didn’t Moyes use his subs earlier? We need to buy a striker, five defenders and four attacking midfield. Think our goalie did well, although we lost 4-0.
So much easier without a game to consider…. Oh and GSBout, unless we need their money then keep them in for a few more weeks, but then out.

Assuming the Station is still the away pub?
Struggling to get a ticket in the west ham end, looks like members only - can anyone confirm before I buy a ticket in the home end?

Yep, but it’ll have to be in their end which is what I’ll do.
Infuriating the club have only sold this to season ticket holders across all the games, like what use is that? Surely won’t have sold out?
Re: West Ham United v Ipswich Town: match thread
Cheers mate. Yeah it literally makes no sense.
Wanted to take my boy but I doubt I’ll bother if they’re making it difficult as he doesn’t have a ST.
