Neither this game and Boreham Wood will be streamed apparently due to the host clubs not permitting it.

Most of our first team players literally got back yesterday and aren't playing.

And this was notified by the club some time back I think. Lots of prem clubs doing the same. No logic in rushing part fit players into friendly games. Who’s running the sweep on first material injury resulting in player absence for first month of the real season?
Only at West Ham as we say.

Neither group is great because none of our internationals are included.

Fabianski, Antonio, Fornals, Cresswell and Zouma the only recognised first team squad players at Ipswich

Clever way of hiding how thin on the ground we are!
Neither squad looks amazing and we only have Johnson, Dawson, Rice, Bowen, Coufal and Soucek to add to them (unless I am missing a few).

edit... Aguerd and Downes too.

We still need at least three in before the season starts though for me.

Areola
Coufal Zouma Aguerd Cresswell
Soucek Rice
Bowen ???? ????
Antonio

Not sure how he uses Fornals/Benrahma/Lanzini/Vlasic to start the season, hence the gaps, but I think that's strong enough to suggest anyone expecting all of the business to be done by Man City is setting themselves up to be disappointed. It doesn't really make good sense to try to rush it all through anyway given how the market moves late on and the fact we've got the play off hanging over our heads in August.

Bit annoying these won’t be streamed, as a chilled game with a cold beer would do me right now!
