If I was a yank I’d vote Trump.
The absolute state of Biden is embarrassing, he can’t string a sentence together.

Re: US Presidential Election 2024
But would you choose trump over Desantis, Haley, Pence & all the other Republican candidates? He's still almost a year away from getting the candidacy & it's no sure thing.Billydinho wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 9:12 pm If I was a yank I’d vote Trump.

He’s the most hate filled, intellectually challenged, incompetent, ego maniac since Putin.
Even a doddering, old, forgetful man like Biden is a step forward.

Re: US Presidential Election 2024
It's funny but for all the uproar when Marjorie Taylor Greene said States should be able to divorce each other, probably more than half the country agree with her.
A massive chunk DO want the American TV 1950's perfect White America with dad the boss & subservient mum (that only existed for a small minority). Wholesome Christian values & all that stuff.
And another massive chunk want the Socialist Progressive views that you take for granted in Western Europe. Healthcare, equality & all those other facades that we're told we get in abundance.
The first lot see the second lot as dangerous American hating Commies. The second lot see the first lot as outdated racists longing for a world that no longer exists.
The biggest irony is the biggest threat to the vision the first lot have is major/global corporations. They've ruined the small town American dream by sucking money out of local communities & into the pockets of the very rich but they refuse to properly tax them or curtail their dodgy business dealings under the guise of FREEDOM.

Without a shred of irony you’re putting Trump over as some kind of eloquent superior.
Make no mistake, Biden’s a dithering old fart but Trump’s thicker than a dogshit milkshake.

I'm 99.9% certain Billy just wrote that for attention.
Which he got. So he "won".
Fair play to the lad.

Re: US Presidential Election 2024
Sounds like the run up to Russia/Ukraine all over again. Widely tipped that the Chinese will invade Taiwan within three years.
Is Biden a bit of an aggressive war-monger, or is he standing up to dictatorships?

There’s a third scenario playing out domestically bubbs.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 3:58 pm

By taking a tough stance against Russia/China Biden is cleverly pulling the rug out from under the MAGA Republicans and effectively splitting the GOP.
Traditional Republicans take a dim view of dictatorships whereas the Trumpist wingnuts are increasingly making no secret of their alignment with the Putins and Orbans of this world.
Five of the more sane Republican lawmakers including the new chair of the House Foreign Affairs Commitee Mike McCaul met with Zelensky in Kiev recently and pledged their support. Contrast back in the US where Matt Gaetz (primo Florida nutnut) is introducing a “Ukraine Fatigue” resolution which calls for an end to aid and an acceptance of Russia’s territorial gains. They’ve even tried to pin the Ohio train crash on what they consider Biden’s obsession with foreign affairs.

There's an element of that within Europe, Moley.Morocco Mole wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 10:01 am Contrast back in the US where Matt Gaetz (primo Florida nutnut) is introducing a “Ukraine Fatigue” resolution which calls for an end to aid and an acceptance of Russia’s territorial gains.
Some of the european countries have been dragging their heels all along, often seemingly for self-interested economic reasons , because they became so locked into Russia. There's a hint of the same thing brewing with China which is what that article is hinting at.
