Post by bubbles1966 »

Any early thoughts on this season's winner, and who might join them on the podium?

I reckon Tuchel might be in with a shout you know. He’s not the new owner’s pick and has a new defence to go out and buy with an ageing Kante. A few bad results and he could be in trouble.

My pick will be Lampard. Rinse and repeat up there right now.

Brendan Okay Rodgers - Leicester could be in major doodoo and the manager is a safe bet to go first.
Eddie Howe - they'll want someone new at some point regardless of how they're doing.

Lampard, Hassenhutl, March and possibly Rodgers. Have a feeling Leicester will struggle.

FLJ has to be the favourite.

9-0 Ralf surely has to go soon too.

Outside shout for Thomas Frank as Brentford do a second season syndrome.

I’ll stick with my earlier posts within another thread. Leicester will struggle by their recent standards, especially without Telemens, and Rodgers will pay the price. To be clear, not saying they will be relegated.

Marco Silva is also one to watch. Fulham always hit the panic button when they struggle.

In no particular order, the most likely to be gone by October:
Jesse Marsch
Frank Lampard
Bruno Lage

And some wildcards if things aren't panning out for them by December:
Mikel Arteta
Steven Gerrard
Erik ten Hag

Brendan Rogers should be first out, flattered to deceive last season, defensively they are pony & are struggling financially, i can see them struggling this season...
The only thing that may save him is if Top feels that he deserves more time due to a sense of loyalty for the difficult time they have been through on a personal level...
Ralph will be fine & I think Howe will too, looking through the clubs I can only see one other club that would pull the trigger before Christmas if they are on a bad run, Everton...

Bookies have Ted Lasso favourite but my money would be on Lampard at 6/1, or Howe or Tuchel both at 12/1.

Lage, Rodhers, Hasslhutl and Gerrard will all get the season unless they’re right in the thick of it which I can’t see as I’d have the three promoted clubs plus Everton and Brentford as my bottom five.

Special shout for Palace who always seem one game away from a relegation battle, they just about keep their heads above it.
