I feel like I want to quote this post on every page so it’s never forgotten.Romford_Iron wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 3:28 pm I do love how some fans assume a players mental state of mind based on absolutely **** all. Like has anyone on here even spoken a word to the bloke? If not, what are you basing your opinions on? The fact that he doesn’t smile much? Or maybe it’s his body language? I’m truly amazed at such insight and wisdom. Psychiatrists would pay top dollar to be able to assess their clients without even speaking a word to them, maybe you sages should be looking at a career change?

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
"Goal involvement" sounds like a politician not answering a question.
Scamacca has scored 8 goals for us this season which considering it being a new league, style of play, being used as a sub, injuries and we were largely **** at the start of the season isn't bad at all.
But the key is most of the goals he has scored were goals our other strikers would not have scored.
Ings has missed more sitters than he has scored and was meant to be the ready player and used to the league etc...
Funny I actually think Scamacca gets more criticism due to his "fancier" name.
In a team with players around him and not a mile away Scamacca will flourish, I hope that will be us next season but if not watch him fly (more than Haller)

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
There’s a funny thing where Scamacca’s contributions in Europe don’t count because it’s only Europe.
But then Europe is used to excuse the likes of Moyes’ 20 Prem losses and Cornet not scoring or assisting a goal.

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
Building a team around a guy, who was struggling to stay fit all season and people at theclub describe as a chracter, you wouldn't go to war with, would be a recipe for disaster for any mid-table team.
If fit, he has the chance to fight for a place in the team. But does he want to fight? Does he want to be available to play at nearly all cost, like some of his current teammates have done? Long and hard questions over the next six weeks.

If his name was Allardyce he'd be much better off
(Fwiw, I agree with your point.)

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
offers over 25m and he will be gone back to italy where he will be the top scorer and back in the italy team.
we could shift two from three strikers at the club antonio 8m ings 5m scamacca 25m
replace with che adams 20m , traore free and onomiyi 30m then add mubama to the mix for our 4 strikers

This has got to be a wind up. Sorry but I had to bite. We get relegated with those 4 as options up top. Not a single one is anywhere near the first three you name, not even remotely close.hammerman11 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 7:22 am offers over 25m and he will be gone back to italy where he will be the top scorer and back in the italy team.

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
I'm looking forward to this bloke making a few people eat humble pie next season.
I promise I won't be petty enough to requote this when he ends up being as important as Paqueta is now.

All that is missing from that is bringing back Ian Dowie to coach them all.hammerman11 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 7:22 am offers over 25m and he will be gone back to italy where he will be the top scorer and back in the italy team.

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
I actually like scamacca but in a moyes team it wont work thats why I think he will go back to Italy.
antonio is 33 and falling down too much as his physical attributes wane
ings is 31 and doesnt fit a moyes team.
che adams isnt a sexy italian but can do a job. onomiyi has been playing well for a few months in a poor forest team.
If I had a choice I would keep scamacca and let antonio go bringing in onomiyi.

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
Emmanuel? Just check he's eligible to play first.
Honestly, replacing Scamacca with any of those is downgrading. Whatever has/hasn't happened over this season, it needs a clean slate. Scamacca working hard to settle and Moyes working hard to settle him in. Honestly, he's one of the best strikers of the ball I've seen from a West Ham forward in years.
