I used to love the Munsters, so I was waiting with at least mild interest for the reboot. Now, not so much. See what you think

I'm looking forward to it immensely.last.caress, in another thread wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 2:02 pm I'm also crashing through all 70 episodes of The Munsters (1964-1966) on DVD, in preparation for Rob Zombie's imminent movie adaptation, the trailer for which is being absolutely caned online but I couldn't give a shitty bumsmack because I love Rob Zombie and I love The Munsters. So there.

I'd heard the trailer was bad.
But I was not ready for just how genuinely awful it was.

Re: Munsters Reboot
I just found out they remade Monkey, which I haven't seen since about 1980ish but have no intention of ruining my childhood memories.

Re: Munsters Reboot
Monkey (aka Saiyuki) was based on Journey to the West, a 400 year old Chinese novel, which has been adapted on the big screen, the telly and on stage many times over. Monkey was just one of those adaptations, albeit arguably the most famous one to us in the UK given its reach outside of Japan where it was produced and originally broadcast. Indeed, the Japanese took another stab at adapting the tale for TV in the mid noughties, once again calling it Saiyuki.
