I've done a PL predictor and put some conservative results in it for us. Its never been tighter and will no doubt go to the wire for a lot of teams:

I have us bottom with two games to go:
Wolves 35
Everton 34
Leeds 33
Palace 33
Southampton 33
Bournemouth 33
Forest 33
WHU 32

beating Leeds then leaves it looking like this with one game to go:
Everton 37
WHU 35
Wolves 35
Forest 34
Leeds 33
Palace 33
Southampton 33
Bournemouth 33

Final table:
Everton 40
Leeds 36
Palace 36
Southampton 36
WHU 35
Wolves 35
Forest 34
Bournemouth 33

I have us staying up on Goal Difference.

All this talk of a low points tally needed to stay up but back in 2011 it was very similar at this stage of the season with just 6 pts separating 11th to 20th.

2010/11
11 Everton 27 -1 33
12 Aston Villa 28 -12 33
13 Fulham 28 0 32
14 Blackburn 28 -11 32
15 Blackpool 28 -13 32
16 Birmingham 26 -10 30
17 West Brom 28 -17 29
18 Wolves 28 -15 28
19 West Ham 28 -16 28
20 Wigan 28 -22 27

This is the final table from that season, we tailed off gaining only 5pts from the last 10. Birmingham & Blackpool both went down on 39 pts.

11 West Brom 38 -15 47
12 Newcastle 38 -1 46
13 Stoke 38 -2 46
14 Bolton 38 -4 46
15 Blackburn 38 -13 43
16 Wigan 38 -21 42
17 Wolves 38 -20 40
18 Birmingham 38 -21 39
19 Blackpool 38 -23 39
20 West Ham 38 -27 33

Goes to show how suddenly it can all change. Let's hope we pick up more points from our run in this year

I agree I don’t think it’ll be a low total this year. I think 37 would probably be enough. I think to absolutely make sure of it ourselves we’re looking at 5 wins.

Could go bottom on Sunday. Also, we can still mathematically finish 3rd as well.

Lets win 12 in a row :hamm:

Everton’s survival in doubt if relegated from the Premier League

Might be a touch sensationalist, but £305M lost in 3 years is not the way to run a successful laundromat!

We can get to 60 points if we win every game from now until the end of the season. 60 points today would have us in 3rd, 1 point behind Man Citeh.

To actually finish third though...highly unlikely. To actually get 60 points is also highly unlikely.

Nice to dream though...imagine finishing the League season on a 12 game winning streak...marvellous!

We coukd only come 3rd if we win all our games and every other fixture is canceled with each team receiving no points

Other teams earn points as well, especially as they play each other in some of those games…

Which is why I said 60 points "today". I think that's what I Am Legend was on about.

As I said...finishing third is highly unlikely.

If you worked it out, I'm sure it'd be mathematically impossible as it overlooks the fact that all the other clubs will be playing a load of games too, so they'll all have to pick up points no matter what.

Kinda a futile discussion anyway 'cos we're never winning our next 12 games. :crossed:

Spot on.

Like I said...it's nice to dream though!

And game one starts tomorrow (although knowing our luck, we'll lose it)

Strange old game.

Two of the bottom three are seventh and eighth favourites for the drop at 4/1, with just 8 games left in Leicester’s case.

I dunno how the bookies calculate these things, but by my eyes any one of 8 are evens.

HTF are we 8th still? Getting exciting 👍

Moreover, some bookies have Southampton at 1/4. Who does their run-in of games include ? Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and AC Milan ?

I know they've got Man. City next week.

Nice to see Chelsea join the scrap.

They’ll soon be back to 12,000 crowds.
