Still a slim chance that Everton and Leicester both go down. If us and the cherries can do our part and if Spurs can bottle it as usual it could happen.

All of the current bottom four deserve to be relegated! The way those clubs have been run over the last few years is criminal. :hammc:

In recent years I've always had a great time up there though and will be very sorry to see the end of the Grand Old Lady. The in-laws are Toffees though, so f*** 'em. They keep cheating the hangman and I'm desperate for them to swing.

You go on the Everton forums... and they are.... "at least it's in our own hands now"...

I think that's kinda the problem.

Someone pointed out that Everton have been in the top flight since 1954. That's ****ing insane. They are many years overdue a relegation. They won't go down this season though. Even if they're incredibly **** against bournemouth, they'll get a 99th min injury time leveller, courtesy of a dodgy goalkeeper fumble.

So ….
I’d like a
Leeds
Bournemouth
West Ham United treble
Not keen on Dyche and Leicester have some involvement with John Terry that makes them hate- worthy
… Won’t happen though the Scouse will win

I said a couple of weeks back before we beat Man Utd that 34 points would probably prove to be enough, and so it has now with our GD.

If we were still on 34 points though it would mean that Leeds had beaten us and so they would also be on 34 points now too.

Also our GD would be a little bit worse off (after 2 games with no wins) with Leicester still to play.

All hypothetical of course but going into Sunday I’m glad we did pull clear

So all 3 teams in the relegation battle are at home.

Everton vs Bournemouth 33pts -24
Leicester City vs West Ham 31pts -18
Leeds vs Tottenham 31pts -27

Everton need a win to guarantee safety but could stay up with a loss.
Leicester must win and hope Everton lose or draw.
Leeds must win and hope Everton lose and Leicester lose or draw.

I can honestly see all three losing.

Many years ago I was driving a bloke doing some work in my house to pick up some stock. We drove past a pub just near Stanley Park and he pointed over and said “See that pub there. On your way in, you get searched, and if you haven’t got a weapon they give you one”.

But that makes a point by itself. Everton make serious investment into the community up here. And it is probably a community worse than most read about or imagine it to be in some places at least. I would be disappointed to see them drop. They are one of the last remaining clubs that can properly say they are a community club - The People’s club.

Well, to be fair, the reason they are down there is they have spent most of the season doing just that.

Another reason Leeds will probably be relegated.
Bobby Brown Shoes Martinez, down with Wigan.
Brown Shoes Sam down with Leeds.

I know many Leeds fans and they are all resigned to the drop and say they deserve it.

I can see something ridiculous happening next weekend.

Like Everton and Leeds both winning 1-0 and Leicester being 0-0 with us with 5mins remaining. Both the former then concede and Leicester score a 95th minute winner. Cue crying Scousers and Dirty Leeds tears. It is going to be interesting to watch from a "semi-neutral" kind of way. I have Everton neighbours both sides - I shall sit in the garden and listen to their anguish.

Obviously, I hope results can go in our favour and we overtake Chelsea. That would be delicious.

I think it's good for us if Leicester go down imo.

Harvey Barnes and Maddison would be great additions to our team.

There's not one player at Everton I would want anywhere near this club, Leeds also.

I remember them times when the little 10yr olds with there Stanley knives trying to make a name for themselves and there mob trying to ambush us from the park, I found them worse than the red side of town.
