As you say, it's hard to tell right now given most of the squad are just learning each other's names right now. I'm optimistic that we'll give it a go but Saturday was a wake up call to anyone who needed it that every point is going to be a tough one.
Obviously our primary target is to stay up, but if we don't then as long as we get at least 12 points it's not the end of the world.
Many of us feel you are welcome to Jessie Lingard, you know. Considered too ugly to play for West Ham
It’s difficult to draw too many conclusions for the game against City because they are not comparable to at least 18 of the other teams in the league.
That being said if we continue to struggle to string two passes together then I completely understand why people may want to see Downes over Soucek given his main strength is Soucek’s weakness, ball retention.
It’s concerning that after 10 minutes Soucek had not touched the ball once, which suggests he wasn’t even showing for the ball when the defence were struggling to play out from the back.
I’d hope Scamacca will also come in given Antonio is clearly carrying a knock, which may also help on this front.

Woany, how did O'Brien play?
He was one that i would've taken along with the Hull kid tbf
Let’s hope Attila the Hun is done and available. Rice and Soucek were yards deeper than usual on Sunday, partly no doubt because it was Citeh, but also protecting a weak back line. Push them up 10 yards and have a centre forward in Scamacca holding the ball up changes the dimension and we’ll see Bowen and Cornet giving us real pace on both flanks. Pressure will be on Forest to attack in first home game, which will suit that front 3 for us.

You relinquished the right to complain about ugly players the day you signed Carlos Tevez.

Looked a bit overawed, didn't seem to really comprehend how much faster the Premier League is and how much less time he'll have to see and play his pass before the chance is gone. Spent most of the afternoon chasing Guimaraes' and Joelinton's shadows.
He'll probably be all right, but he's not there yet. Our problem is that we're not inserting these players into a group that's already attuned to the Premier League and having them get onto their teammates' level, they're all figuring it out together.
I tell you something forest will not be worried about us not one little bit . Me personally I think its not OK at west ham at the moment something not right I think we will lose this game its there first game at home they will be right up for it . I dont think we will
