Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
Seems like a good signing but a bit weird that he doesn’t seem to have a best position although obviously his versatility is a great asset
Maybe when everyones fit it will be him at RB with him and the two CB’s shifting over and forming more of a back 3 whilst allowing our LB to have free reign down the left. Like a budget version of Pep’s Barca with Abidal and Alves. Obviously we don’t have a LB capable of that yet though

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
Looks comfortable on the ball and is a German international - can't really moan at this one
Decent price on it also so hopefully means there is some more in the coffers for maybe the LB and one big surprise one (+ Payet)

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
We’re going to need a couple of players (like Johnson) who can do jobs in a number of positions. Good signing this, gives us a lot of flexibility.
Can he play tomorrow?

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
Reckon Thilo could end up being a serious bargain especially with Chelsea about to splurge £85m on Fofana.
In fact, the combined cost of Thilo and Aguerd will be about half of what Fofana will cost.

I know Germany aren't the force they were but you can't be a complete mug to play so many games for them. Good age and a pretty decent price.
Good luck Thilo!

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
His favoured position is centre-back, the right side of two in a back four.
He is extremely versatile and talented though hence why he can play in so many positions and formations.
Very fast, a great tackler, good in the air with a great leap, brilliant range of passing, tactically aware and great at reading the game. This signing is a bit of a coup to be honest and the price we are paying is taking the piss.
Before he went to PSG he was being touted as the next best thing in German centre-backs. He's been messed about a bit at PSG and I'm not sure his versatility has helped his progression but he is young, grounded, apparently ambitious and a change of scenery could do him wonders.
By the end of the season I reckon our favoured CB pairing will be Kehrer & Aguerd and we will be the better team for it.

I can't recall ever seeing him kick a ball, but I like him already, if that's what he has said.funky chicken wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:20 pm “My biggest goal now is to get into the team, integrate myself within the group and enjoy playing for West Ham.”
100% the right attitude.
Welcome aboard .

Doesnt seem like a lot of money in the current market, let's hope it works out superbly for him and us

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
Good buy in my opinion.
Well done Moyes (I give him stick when he deserves it, so a little bit of praise is due. Not that he'll give a flying f@@k what I think).

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
Good feeling about this one.
Zouma was a great signing at the time, Ogbonna and Dawson have been great for us, but it would be nice to see Aguerd and Kehrer establish a quality partnership that endures for seasons.

It's Thilo Kehrer. DL's had a mare here.
Anyway, I'm excited by this signing. If not for our injuries we might not have even gone for him, but the reported £10m or whatever is a bit of a steal. Plus the lad is only 25.
I fully expect Kehrer, Aguerd and Zouma to be the mainstay of our defence for years to come.

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
I make that close to £110m we've spent so far this window, with the only real bit of money recouped being the £15m for Diop. So net spend closing on £100m.
