RIP Loretta Lynn

Post by WCpete »

She is probably not well known overseas, but she is Nashville Country royalty. RIP to the Coal Miner's Daughter.

Have to say Coal Miner's Daughter is the only song that comes to mind.

Rip Loretta Lynn.
C&W was always my old man's music, so as a kid I dismissed it as mawkish and sentimental.

A few years back a mate at work suggested I watch this series _ I think BBC4 showed it so it might be available online.

Made me look at Country music in a different light - Loretta Lynn features in it and comes over very well.
