Elon Musk
Been watching the BBC 2 series on him, truly fascinating. Incredible what he has achieved.

Good or bad. Seems he's erring on the side of "free speech". Will Trump get his account back?

Re: Elon Musk
Almost certainly. The thing is though, there's free speech and then there's wilfully spreading misinformation and lies. There's dogwhistling to your followers in order to cause trouble and maybe even harm for others (something to which Musk himself isn't averse).

Re: Elon Musk
This will be fun from afar. Keen to see the reaction when Musk fans realise that the share price is more important than their ability to act like trolls.

In this case "free speech" seems to be spreading your own version of the truth or else propaganda without censor or rebuke.Bend it like Repka wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 11:14 am Good or bad. Seems he's erring on the side of "free speech".

Re: Elon Musk
He's done very well for himself. That usually gets my admiration.
But personally I think he's a cock and I think James Bond will one day expose him and kill him in his evil lair.

Re: Elon Musk
I know plenty of people who have been banned for left-wing - or, more specifically, anti-Trump sentiment. Well, not for the sentiment per se, but for going way overboard with it. The guy who plays Art the Clown in the Terrifier movies was banned permanently for constantly abusing Trump. I myself picked up a 24hr ban for calling Farage a **** (I didn't tag him in, I was replying to someone else conducting a "Who's the Biggest ****" poll; can't recall who Farage was up against but I guess it was someone who wasn't quite as much of a **** which, obviously, doesn't narrow it down too much).

Re: Elon Musk
For all the bill gates conspiracy stuff musk worries me more for some reason. Can't quite put my finger on why though. There is something of the bond villain about him - the modern ones not the living in a volcano type.

Re: Elon Musk
I used to use Twitter a lot for boxing but stopped about a year ago.
I only look now if I can't get a stream and we score a goal or if a fight just happened.
It's madness on there.
trump will go back if it makes him money. QAnon will be back in a flash. Eastern European Bots too.
Out of interest how popular are Tesla's where you live? They're everywhere here and car parks will have a Tesla corner where they can recharge their cars.

Re: Elon Musk
When it comes to Musk, I just wonder does no one remember the episode of The Simpsons with Hank Scorpio?
Re: Elon Musk
Mainstream media pumps fears into our veins - funded by Big Pharma + Big Food = fine
Twitter bought by entrepreneur who's spearheading electric car innovation to help the planet = not ok
Wild.
