Already booked to see Soft Cell that day. Have seen Blur a few times previously and if they are anything like those gigs, it will be a banger!

Do like Blur (mainly the self titled album, 13) but going to pass on this. You can bet Ticketbastards dynamic pricing will come into play pretty quickly as well.

If they had decided to take it seriously and put a new album I might be more tempted.

People will just want to hear the hits at a big gig like this.

Saw them at Hyde Park. That was amazing. Sod Wembley and those prices.

First saw them in 1991 at the Kilburn national and similarly about a dozen times since including Shepherd’s Bush empire in 1994 at the start of the park life tour. At at least 100 quid a pop Damon and the band can definitely do one.

‘Whoops I’ve got a lot of money’ indeed.

I never really liked this band, but have fond memories of that time. We use to get in a tiny club in Camden Town, because a mate DJed and played a fair bit of old soul and skinhead reggae. The club was called Blow up and went on to be really trendy and Brit pop,if not born certainly incubated there (along with the nearby Good Mixer pub). Probably the trendiest I've been in my entire life. More by luck than judgement though.

The older I get, the more I like them and wish I had the money and time to go to this gig.

Growing up in Clacton, I well remember the vitriol they got locally (sort of a local band) when they graffiti'd 'Modern Life is rubbish' somewhere on the seafront. Totally disowned, then suddenly forgiven and championed a couple of years later when they became one of the faces of Britpop.

Fun fact: the entry road to Alex James' farm is named 'Stephen Street' after the producer of some of their albums.
