I talked with a colleague who is from Cameroon, and she said to me that Embolo is very connected to the country. He opened a football school there, and is involved in several charity actions.

But since he scored that goal, the police had to protect his family there, and my colleague said to me that Embolo will have to wait several months before coming back, as it could still be dangerous to him in Cameroon.
